Borough of Kirklees Swimming Club Prize Draw We're raising money for the Borough of Kirklees Swimming Club to help fund the club's annual running costs and awards night!

Well done to Jack from Performance who had some great success at the NER Open / Youth in Sunderland swimming in the 15/16 age group, for the first time against older swimmers. Jack reached 3 finals, 50 and 100 Fly as well as 50 Free. He managed to drop time in heats and finals for his main event ( 100 fly ) which he was going for British Qualifying and managed to swim 58.16 which for about 24 hours put him in first place on the British Champs qualifying list which he was absolutely delighted with.
He came away with a Gold ( 50 Fly ), Bronze ( 100 Fly ) and an 8th place in the 50 Free. Most importantly for Jack it puts him into 2 events for the British ( Next Gen ) Championships in July which is the next target he is working towards.

NER Success Performance Squad.
Well done to all of the Performance Swimmers who competed at the recent NER Championships. We had 20 top 10 finishes with:
Thomas reaching 3 finals
Maisie 4 medals and a British Championships Qualifying time
Steph 3 medals and a British Qualifying time
Jack 3 finals 2 medals and 2 British Championship Qualifying times
Sam O 1 final
Georgina ( Masters ) 3 finals 1 medal
Eben a top 10 in the 800 Free.

Congratulations to Ember and Lily from Development Squad. They were competing at the NER final last weekend and met Team GB medal winner James Wilby. Lily finalled in 100 and 50 breast and Ember in 50 free. Well done to both 👏

The 4th of July will soon be upon us! If you won a trophy at the BOK Bash last year, it’s time to bring it back. Tickets for this year’s event will be on sale soon and we DESPERATELY need raffle prizes!

On Saturday 18th April, Dan from our Competitive Squad competed in the Cerebral Palsy National Swimming Championships in Derby. He had a successful day, coming away with 4 silver medals & a 2 second pb in his 50 Breaststroke 👏👏👏
