Some days, just don't go the way you hoped they will.
Today was the day of Leeds Abbey Dash, and since Monday, I've been struggling with a calf issue. After nearly a week of resting it, I set off this morning, and I still wasn't sure if I was going to run it or not. Arrived in Leeds and decided I would give it a go no pushing it. My plan was just to get round. The first mile felt great, and the pace was good, well for me. I got close to 2nd mile, and I started to feel the ni**le, carried on a for a bit and decided I need to stop to prevent any further damage. Stopped the watch and ended up deleting the 2 miles I'd done 🤦♀️. The race number came on and off 3 times, and then I finally made the decision to stop and walk back to meet the others I'd gone with.
Today wasn't my day, and I was gutted, but on reflection, I know I made the right decision

Swapping leggings, trainers, and hair in ponytail to a dress, heels, and hair down to celebrate my clients special birthday. I wasn't going to give his age away, but if you look closely, you will be able to guess.

Making the most of the bank holiday weekend and some dry weather. Got my steps in, and enjoyed some fresh air.
Recently, whilst I've been walking, I've been reading Three Dad's Walking:300 miles of hope. It tells the story of three Dad's who have tragically lost their daughters to su***de. Through this book, I am learning that so many families lose their loved ones through su***de and it is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35. As someone who has struggled with mental health, I find this so sad and more needs to be done to prevent more families from going through this.
REMEMBER IT'S OK TO NOT BE OK

Lovely afternoon tea this afternoon for hen do.
I started training with Catherine many moons ago, not only is she my trainer but also my friend and at the last 12months one of the people to listen to me, she built my confidence when it was at rock bottom and made me realise that I was good enough to achieve my goals. She was one of the people who encouraged me to follow my dreams of being a personal trainer.
Catherine is such a lovely person inside and out, and she deserves all the happiness she now has.
Looking forward to the wedding in a couple of weeks and if you look this gorgeous at your hen party then you will make the most gorgeous bride.

Hello October.....
Hands up September wasn't a good month for me. After the Great North Run, my body just wasn't feeling it, and I think it was telling me I needed a bit of a rest.
I tell my clients to listen to their bodies, but I can be my worst own enemy, so I've taken nearly a week of any training, but I have a new month and time to get back on it.
I treated myself to a new bottle yesterday to focus my hydration and got back on the peloton today for a quick 20-minute spin ride.
If anyone needs any help or support, drop me a message, and I'll do my best to help even if it's just some accountability.
