This is Kobe, one of the many superstars in our class ⭐️
Kobe joined us just under two years ago and has shown incredible motivation and dedication ever since. He’s a shining example of what can be achieved through great coaching, consistent effort, and—most importantly—having fun along the way.
Kobe is the current U8 Regional and National Champion in Randori No Kata, Tanto Kakarigeiko, and Ninindori—and he has no plans to give up those titles anytime soon!
This summer, he’ll be representing Team GB at the World Championships in Poland 🇵🇱
Here’s a short video of Kobe practicing his breakfalls during Tanto Kakarigeiko in last night’s session.
We’re also excited to share that we have a FREE training offer available throughout April! Anyone new—both juniors and seniors—is welcome to come along and train with us for FREE.

Huddersfield Tomiki Aikido in action 🥋
Tomiki Aikido is a unique style of aikido that blends traditional self-defence techniques with live, competitive practice (randori). It teaches timing, balance breaking, control, and precision — not just rehearsed moves, but skills you can actually apply against a resisting partner.
Why it’s useful:
✔️ Builds real self-defence ability
✔️ Improves reflexes, coordination, and awareness
✔️ Teaches how to stay calm under pressure
✔️ Develops control without relying on strength
Soft, efficient, and effective — using movement and timing to overcome force.
If you’re interested in learning we always offer 2 taster sessions for free.
Friday we visited our friends at Epic Aikido Club, here’s some techniques we were working on!
