🚨12 POINT WEEKEND ALERT🚨

The teams have only gone and done it again another 12 point weekend for the Clarence!!

1XI took on Mirfield (A) where Jamie won the toss and decided to put his faith in his batting attack which at 61-5 the team looked in one hell of a pickle. They ended up posting a low score of 153.

With only 153 to defend the ball was passed to the bowlers who had to make sure every ball was inch perfect. Up stepped our spin twins Adam Taylor and Salman Syed causing all the problems for Mirfield.

Salman finishing up with some amazing figures
15 overs - 6 maidens - 17 runs - 3 wickets

Adam finishing up with
15 overs - 2 maidens - 41 runs - 4 Wickets

Well done chaps let’s keep it up!!!

Onto the 2XI who took on Denby Grange 1XI at home.

Jason won the toss and threw the ball to his bowlers on an overcast windy day (great thinking griff).

Jeanie Lee back in the squad and bowling is a sight everyone loves to watch and she put on a show turning the batsmen in and out you’d of thought they were doing the cha cha slide.

Her figures were
5 overs - 1 maiden - 10 runs - 4 wickets

Denby grange posted a final total of 84 leaving the team a great opportunity to “do a win”

Alex Moors and Zak Morris opened up the batting with Alex finally getting a 50+ strike rate well done sir 👌

The first wicket fell which brought in captain Jason who decided he wanted to get the game done in quick time with a blistering 37* it helped guide the team to another win!!!

Well done to all involved this week ❤️

Another great week up here at the Clarence.

The First XI got another win at home against linthwaite which now takes them up into second place in the league.

With some fantastic bowling from Mr Incredible himself Mark Hinchcliffe he tied the linthwaite batters down and took vital wickets helping lift his team. WELL DONE MARK!!!

Also we would like to say thank you to all the volunteers and junior parents for helping with the covers and the running of the games during the week with all the wet weather.
