A large D Section of a high standard with Edie performing really well

Ava:

🎭🎶 One of our talented pupils is heading to pantoland after successfully auditioning to be a part of the young chorus for the Lawrence Batley Theatre pantomime, 'Aladdin’.

Ruby was one of over 100 young people who auditioned for one of 12 coveted places.

She will be in a team of six young people and is very excited for rehearsals to begin on October 31st.

Aladdin starts its run on Tuesday December 1st through to Sunday January 3rd and will feature incredible effects, lavish costumes, a side-splitting script and big musical numbers.

Ava and Edie performed today at Rising stars festival placing 1st in all their solos! 🎉

The sisters received lots of fabulous feedback from the adjudicator and achieved super marks. It was also Ava’s first time out performing her Character! Very well done girls! ⭐️⭐️

COMMERCIAL WITH JOE DUBAS 💥
Alternate Wednesdays, starting tonight

Places available for Juniors and Inters at 7-8pm. Commercial dance is a great addition to a dancers training (used in many modern musicals).

The class is open to all, including pupils who don’t usually attend our dance school (please check with your own teacher first). £8 per class (£16 per 4 weekly invoice).

Congratulations to Amelia Leonard, Billy King, Charlie Leonard and Charlotte McLean who all starred in Kirklees Youth Theatre Ensemble-KYTE’s production of Sweeney Todd which showed at the Lawrence Batley Theatre last week! 🎭🔪

Our pupils enjoyed some exciting workshops led by former pupil and industry professional, Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton this weekend.

It was fabulous to have Rohan in the studio, teaching Mary Poppins and MJ The Musical workshops across all our age groups.

Huddersfield-born Rohan is a versatile performer who trained at our studio as a child, by none other than Miss Spencer herself. He has since gone on to have a fulfilling career starring in many West End and International productions including MJ The Musical, The Scottsboro Boys, Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical and Dreamgirls to name a few.

More recently, Rohan was the featured vocal on Prospa’s “Dreams” dance music single which was released in June.

Many thanks to the Friends of Audrey Spencer fundraising committee who funded these workshops for our pupils to enjoy. We hope everyone loved them as much as we did 💜
