Sat 19th KO 14:00
The first team are playing host to Priestleys FC. A big game early in the season for our firsts having secured promotion to the Yorkshire Amateur League Division 2.
The Reserves are also on the road, travelling to Cumberworth.

Sun 20th
The U12 Spartans face Phoenix Juniors away
The U12 Titans travel to Lepton.

The Nortonthorpe will also be hosting three Kirkburton U11s teams on Sunday morning, KOs starting at 09:30

Good luck to all players and coaching staff! 💪🏻⚽🥅

The clubhouse will be open for all home games, serving sandwiches and hot and cold drinks ☕🍺🥪

⚽ 𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗧 𝗙𝗖 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗣 𝟭𝟮𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧 ⚽

The first team picked up 3 points away to Leeds City Reserves with a 1-3 win.
Goals from Ryan Trafford, Charlie Craven and Brendan Craven

The Reserves lost 0-2 at home to Fothergill.

U17s suffered a loss at home to Elland, with the final score being 3-7.

U12s Spartans lost 0-5 to Lepton

U12s Titans scored a last minute winner to beat Honley 4-3

The Nortonthorpe was busy busy busy this morning, really great to see all the support 🩵

Thanks to all the coaches, players, parents and supporters for a great weekend.

⚽️ 𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗧 𝗙𝗖 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗨𝗣 𝟱𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧 𝟮𝟲 ⚽️

Football is back!! 🥳

The first team hosted Farley Celtic at The Nortonthorpe on Saturday. A strong Farley performance saw us on the wrong end of a 1-3 loss, with Rich Humphrey scoring for Scissett.

The reserves travelled to Mount, and took a share of the points in a 1-1 draw, with Sam Grimes bagging a goal.

The U17s took all 3 points at Kirkburton, coming away 5-6 winners.

Both junior teams had away fixtures on a miserable and very wet Sunday.
The Spartans secured a comfortable 2-4 win at Kirkburton.
The Titans were in Holmfirth, and held out a tight fixture to secure a 5-6 away win.

A great weekend of football, with goals galore and a strong weekend for Scissett FC.

We are so proud to be supported by Scissett Farmers Market who will be donating a locally sourced food hamper each week for our weekly football raffle prize.

The raffle will be different each week as this is fresh seasonal produce from our very own HD8 growers bakers and farmers

Here’s a selection of produce bought today for the Dawson household but there was fresh
eggs and bread and jars of honey all locally produced

This week, I'm sharing a look back at photographing the Scissett Legends football match and league match.

Football photography brings plenty of action, but there's also the challenge of anticipating what is about to happen and finding those moments that help tell the story of the game.

I've shared some of my favourite photographs and a little more about the experience of photographing local football.

Both our first team and reserves will take on Dalton Athletic in 2 separate games

KO at 6:30PM for both games

The open training session for U12s will now be on the 9th July at 18:00 at The Nortonthorpe.
Our brilliant volunteers have been hard at work treating and seeding the pitches, so we're giving the turf a little more of a rest.
