🚨 BREAKING: DANNY HOLMES APPOINTED FLINT TOWN UNITED MANAGER

Flint Town United have appointed Danny Holmes as their new first-team manager.

The former Vauxhall Motors boss succeeds Lee Fowler, who departed the club earlier this week after four years in charge.

Holmes arrives with Flint second from bottom of the Cymru Premier, with the Silkmen picking up just two points from their opening 10 games.

The 40-year-old enjoyed a successful spell with Vauxhall Motors, guiding them to a seventh-place finish last season after reaching the NPL West play-off semi-finals the year before.

A three-time Cymru Premier winner as a player, Holmes also enjoyed a hugely successful spell with Connah’s Quay Nomads.

His first game in charge will come against Ammanford on September 26.
