Big game today at Swallow Lane as we welcome Mirfield Parish. A proper 12 pointer as we look to get some momentum in second half of the season.
The 2nds are looking to keep close to the top 2 as they head to Rastrick. Best of luck to all the teams.

The results round-up is brought to you by . It was just the 1sts who were unable to get the win, as the 2nds & 3rds had good wins at home over the weekend, with some great individual performances.
Simon Farlow was at one stage 2 off 33 balls, but ended up with 117 off 126 and partnerships of 61 with both Rothery (29) and Lodge (9). Another 65 runs were put on with Piscitelli, who was dismissed with the score on 233 as some smaller contributions got us to 259.
After a 20 run opening salvo, Falconio taking four of the first five wickets - the other being a run-out. A partnership of 47 took Broad Oak to 103/5, but after top scorer Woodruff was dismissed, the end came quickly.
The 3rds were scrouning for a score at one stage, finding themselves 139/8 before Dan Collins (13* from 32 balls) provided some great support to Goddard, who blazed 59* off 49 balls with eight fours and two sixes. Earlier, Ollie Lodge, Keegan Petts (22) and Ben Gash (20) all got starts without going on with it.
Owen took that momentum and kept going, claiming three wickets as Triangle fell to 9/4. It was always going to be difficult for the visitors to win from that position, but the next two batsmen combined well, with scores of 48 and 60 to get themselves back in the game. It wasn't to be enough in the end, as Goddard returned for two late wickets, while Joe Brook (2/34) also chipped in with vital breakthroughs.
The 1sts travelled to Rastrick and won the toss, getting themselves into a reasonable position at a couple of points throughout the innings - 82/1 and 129/3. But a disappointing last fifteen overs meant we set an under par total on a good pitch and rapid outfield. Well done to Ben Balmforth for his maiden half century for the club.
After a couple of spurned chances early, we couldn't make the inroads needed to put some scoreboard pressure on, against a deep batting line up. The bowlers tried hard for little reward, and in the end we couldn't retrieve any points for our efforts.

Best of luck to our Ladies' teams as they have their last matches of the season.
Tonight, the firsts will be heading to Thurstonland, looking to secure promotion if things fall their way. Tomorrow night, the seconds will be heading to Mirfield, and put a bow on a season where they have been on the wrong side of a number of close losses, but should hold their heads high with the amount of debutants they have had this year! Well done to all the ladies and the coaches who have helped out, particularly Simon Farlow & Kevin Tinsley - as well as the sponsors, Longwood Daycare and Syzygy Hairdressing .

A tad late, but hey ho!
In his second match, overseas Sahaj Chadja put on a proper display to take us from 143/8 to a competitive total. Support came from Woody Webster, as they put on 69 for the ninth wicket. However, it couldn't prove to be enough, as we lost comfortably.
The 2nds had a good win, with a lot of contributions once more - still needing some lower order contributions after being 128/6. However, this became moot as the second innings was well sorted by the four bowlers, as Ellie and Snapper both took two wickets to support Falconio & Strother.
Contributions from Rothery and Lodge (46 off 44) set up a big total; with Keegan Petts coming in after their partnership was broked and guided the team to a great total with his 89* off 73 balls. Contributions also came from Mark Turner (20) and George Podger (21). With the ball, we weren't able to make the requisite headway to get full points, but there was some tight bowling from Dan Collins (1/26 off 8), Rowan Schofield (1/21 off 8) as well as the mentioned wicket-takers.
Thanks again to Bolster Moor Farm Shop for their support for our club in 2026.

It’s the last night of training for our girls for this season. They’ve come on heaps, and hopefully had a great time learning about the game! Cartwheels down roughly 50% on last year, too…
Thanks so much to Eleanor and Amy for their coaching, patience and leadership as they mentor the young girls.
And a special mention to Longwood Daycare and NM Electrical for their support of our girls program.

Our 1sts will be heading to Rastrick on Saturday, and the 3rds will be welcoming Triangle on Sunday - but the rest of the games are with our Linthwaite neighbours! Make sure you get up to the club to support, and enjoy the best beer garden about.
