Golcar Cricket Club Girls

And we are back into it!
The bar will be open on Thursday, with the ladies continuing their training on from the off-season, while the Golcar Cricket Club Girls get back into things for 2026.
On Friday, junior training will be outside for the first time, after their sessions at Sixers Cricket in the winter. There's a couple of weeks before they start their games, but will be great to get back outside.
Then the matches begin, as both 1sts & 2nds take on Almondbury Wesleyan Cricket Club on Saturday, before we welcome Ryan Swift Music playing some quality tunes throughout the evning.
Finally the 3rd XI will head over to CC as they begin their first season in the top division of the Halifax Sunday League. Best of luck to them for the season.

We are back! This Thursday 16th April we will back at swallow lane for our first outdoor session of the summer. Whether you played with us last year or are looking to give it a go please come down. We will be kicking off the session at 6pm until 7pm.

We look forward to seeing everyone there and look forward to another season filled of fun and cricket!

The girls are looking forward to their last festival tonight. If you’d like to support we’re at Almondbury Wesleyans CC from 6. UTV

Tonight, our U15s will welcome Delph over the hill, while our girls team have their last tournament at Almondbury Wesleyans.
The U17s have a local derby, while the U11s will be up at Broad Oak for the reverse fixture.
Training on Thursday and Friday, with the bar open, while on Saturday our 1sts head to Honley, and the 2nds welcome Hall Bower.
Sunday will be a busy one, with our 3rds playing Outlane (venue TBC), while the 1sts host Skelmanthrope in a Semi Final.

Another brilliant festival yesterday! The girls scored runs, took wickets and had a great time. We have another training session tomorrow starting a little earlier at 5:30 and then onto our third and final festival at Almondbury Wesleyans.

Today our girls attended their first ever cricket festival. They all played so well putting all the new skills they’ve learnt into practice! We have our next festival at Lepton CC on Monday 7th July.

The girls are back in action this evening with their training. We have our ECB qualified and experienced female coaches running the sessions. We thank our sponsors of the female program Longwood Daycare and NM Electrical for their support.

Back to training tomorrow for the girls while the u11s play. 6pm start til 7:15 at swallow lane. Club will open. Hope to see you all there! 🏏

It was a great start to the girls' sessions last night. Make sure you note down in your diaries the other sessions, and lets hope that the weather is just as good as last night!

The sun is shining and that can only mean one thing… cricket is back!

After a particularly harsh winter we are back outdoors and have got even more fun filled sessions for girls aged under 11.

Our first session is going to be on 30th April from 6:00-7:15 at Golcar Cricket Club.
