“The camaraderie on the ride to Brighton last year was amazing, and those who took part regularly keep in touch with one another. By creating the HTCC and basing it at Canalside we aim to allow anyone the opportunity to forge these links as well as have an entertaining place to base themselves.

“Running alongside the other clubs based at Canalside we’re getting quite a diverse range of activities for all supporters to be involved in and I have our aim is to have the biggest cycle club in the region.”

The HTCC is the brainchild of Martyn Bolt, the routemaster for the last two Pedal for Pounds’ the Cycling Development Officer with CTC , the UK’s National Cycling Organisation.
