As the season draws to a close and our U7s play their final game at home tomorrow, this photo hopefully shows what we have to battle against each week to keep the grass short to play on.

We’ve hit our primary target, but we’ve set a stretch target (which we’ve also nearly hit) to get new lining equipment to relieve even more pressure off the council and ensure we can look after the community asset the field we play on provides to the community.

10 DAYS. THAT’S ALL IT TOOK. 🎯

Late last night, the Dalton Dynamoes family officially crossed the £2,000 finish line for our "Securing Our Destiny" campaign!

To go from facing unplayable pitches to securing a vital part of the funding for our own commercial mower in just 10 days is beyond our wildest expectations.

To the parents who donated, the local businesses who stepped up, the Huddersfield Hub for sharing our story, and every single person who grabbed a square on our virtual pitch - THANK YOU.

You didn’t just buy a piece of machinery. You protected a safe haven for 250+ kids in HD5.

As we start looking towards our 30th Anniversary, we have never been prouder of this community.

The Crowdfunder remains open for a few more days, and every extra penny will now go directly into a stretch target for pitch maintenance supplies (fuel, line paint, and seed) and hopefully a new lining machine. But for today, we celebrate.

A couple of weeks ago, we sat down to figure out how we were going to save our pitches and secure the club.
