We will be showing film George at our film night, the story of friendship between Lake District fell runner Jacob Tonkin and his loyal dog, George.

The film night will be at Westwood Retreat Centre on 22nd August.

Tickets available just for the evening or you get join us for the full day which includes yoga with Yoga Studio | Huddersfield and a guided run of the Heights Ultra Trail 27k and all your food for the day.

We are very excited to be screening Imogen Charlotte Boddy once again at our Saturday night film night, as she takes on thespeedproject™️, an unsanctioned 500km race from Los Angeles to Las Vegas through the Mojave Desert. It is a powerful story of endurance, grit, and the pursuit of something bigger than the finish line.

Getting Ready for HUT 🏔️

Summit Moor is teaming up with to bring you a guided run of the 27K on our Trail Running Weekender.

Sign up for the day on Saturday 22nd August. Breakfast, yoga with Yoga Studio | Huddersfield the guided HUT 27K, post run food and a film night all included.

Living further out? We’ve got accommodation for the full weekend at the Westwood Retreat Centre, just 2 miles from HUT HQ. Full details and accommodation options are on our website.

Entries for the race on 19th September are open now. Start and finish at Broad Oak Cricket Club, Linthwaite.

After The Smoke Clears 🎥

We are excited to announce the first film of the SUMMIT MOOR Weekender next month.

Moors for the Future explores the ecological significance of the Goyt Valley and the devastating impact of wildfires on its fragile peatland habitats after a devastating wildfire broke out across this beautiful valley. This is the story of how the local community responded.

The film highlights the vital restoration efforts underway to build climate resilience and safeguard this precious landscape for future generations.

We will be selling raffle tickets on the night to raise money for Protect our Peatlands Peak District National Park Foundation with plenty of prizes to be won.

FIND MOOR 🔍

We can’t wait for the first ever SUMMIT MOOR race, a 60 minute challenge to collect as many points.

This race is not about the fastest, but the smartest runners on the night will win. Suitable to everyone of all abilities. There will be some mega prizes for the team with the most points at checkpoints around the Colne Valley.

Enter as a team or enter in your own and get paired up. Entry includes drinks and pizza afterwards at Westwood Retreat Centre
