🏆✨ WHAT A CELEBRATION! ✨🏆

Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Sol Scott and Uzair Chowdhury back to Huntingdon Gymnastics Club following their incredible performances at the 2026 European Championships! 🇬🇧🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

This Championships was particularly special for both gymnasts.
⭐ Sol competed for Great Britain as a Senior for the very first time, helping GB to Team Gold 🥇 before going on to win an incredible Bronze medal in the individual Vault final 🥉.
⭐ Uzair competed for Great Britain once again in the Junior European Championships, winning Team Gold 🥇 and successfully retaining his European Junior Gold medal on Parallel Bars 🥇, having won the title last year too!

We wanted to celebrate their incredible achievements with the very people who make our club so special – our gymnasts and families. ❤️

The highlight of the afternoon was a fantastic Q&A with some of our younger gymnasts, who had the opportunity to ask Sol and Uzair about their journeys, training, competitions and what it takes to reach the very highest level of the sport.
The questions were brilliant, the answers were inspiring, and it was wonderful to see our younger members listening, learning and dreaming big. 🌟

For our gymnasts to see two athletes on their journeys at our club go on to represent Great Britain and win European Championship medals is incredibly powerful.
Their achievements show what can be possible with hard work, dedication, resilience and the right support around you.

Sol and Uzair are not only a huge credit to themselves, their families and their coaches – they are an inspiration to the next generation of gymnasts here at Huntingdon Gymnastics Club and across our local community. 💙

A huge congratulations once again to Sol & Uzair. We are incredibly proud of you both! 👏
And thank you for sharing your success with our younger gymnasts – we hope you realise just how much it meant to them. 🥰

They finished their summer training with plenty of fun — and lots of bars! 🤸‍♀️💪
A huge well done to Rumana, Elsie, Penny & Callie, who all achieved their giants completely on their own for the first time! 🥹👏
And a special mention to Willow for her excellent determination and hard work on bars today! 💪❤️

✨ What an incredible County Squad Session! ✨

Saturday was such a fantastic day for our Tier 1 & Tier 2 girls! 🤸‍♀️💗

We were so lucky to have Matt Jackson join us and work with the girls on bars, sharing his knowledge and helping them develop and refine their skills. We also had Leonni Jennison working with the girls on their warm-up and cool-down routines, which was such a brilliant addition to the session! 💪🏼✨

A massive thank you to all the coaches for their time, support and encouragement throughout the day. A special thank you to Ellie, Sian, Valeria & Rosie for coaching and supporting our girls — we really appreciate everything you do! 🫶🏼

It was also lovely to see so many clubs from across the county come together. Seeing all the girls training, learning, supporting each other and working so hard made for such a positive and inspiring day! 💫

We couldn’t be prouder of our girls and the effort they put in from start to finish. Lots of hard work, plenty of learning and, most importantly, lots of fun! 💗🤸‍♀️

Thank you to everyone who helped make the session such a special one. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the next County Session! ✨
