A huge thank you to Leith Hall, Garden & Estate NTS for inviting us along to take part in a fantastic softball festival with our Foundation and Development Groups.

It was a very special afternoon, as this was the first time cricket had been played on the Leith Hall grounds since 1937 โ€” almost nine decades! Weโ€™re incredibly proud to have been part of bringing cricket back to such a historic setting.

NTS would also be interested to hear from anyone who has information about, or can identify anyone in, the original photographs. If you recognise anyone, or have any stories or information about the games played at Leith Hall, weโ€™d love to hear from you! ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ

There was plenty of cricket, fun and games for everyone, with a little bit of a competitive side sneaking out from a few of the parents along the way! ๐Ÿ˜‚

A brilliant afternoon enjoyed by players, parents and coaches, and hopefully the beginning of many more cricketing days at Leith Hall.

A brilliant achievement and a thoroughly deserved title! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ†

The celebrations carried on long into the nightโ€ฆ and weโ€™re sure there were a few sore heads this morning! ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜‚

๐ŸAnyone for Cricket? ๐Ÿ

For generations, the lawns of Leith Hall echoed to the sound of summer cricket as local schoolboys faced the estate foresters in an annual match. The last recorded game took place in 1937, before many of those young players left for lives shaped by the years that followed.

This August, cricket returns to Leith Hall for the first time in almost nine decades.

In partnership with Huntly Cricket Club we're delighted to host a Soft Ball Cricket Festival for young players, bringing a new generation onto the historic grounds where cricket was once a much-loved summer tradition.

Whether you're a lifelong cricket fan or simply looking for a great family day out, come along, bring a chair or picnic rug, and enjoy an afternoon in the beautiful parkland setting of Leith Hall. Watch the excitement unfold, cheer on the players, and experience the timeless pleasures of cricket in one of Aberdeenshire's most picturesque locations.

Henrietta's Tearoom will be open throughout the day serving refreshments, home baking and treats.

Saturday Results ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘€

A mixed weekend for the club. The 1st Team suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of Crescent.

However at Castle Park, the 2nd XI demolished Banchory to fire themselves to the top of Grade 2 with just one game to go.๐Ÿ’ช

Special mention to Jordan Squire who produced a man of the match performance, hitting 77 runs with the bat and taking 4 wickets with the ball to get the 2nd XI over the line.๐Ÿ‘
