ANOTHER GREAT DAY OUT
Thanks to everyone that came along to the Room to Run yesterday, it was a great day and everyone was counted out and back in again safely. We hope you all enjoyed the day. A huge thanks to all the volunteers who helped out at event organisation, registration, marshalling and sweepers - we couldn't do it without you.
We are aware that there was an issue with timing between approx. 11:45 and 12:05 at the races. This was due to a member of public not adhering to the barriers and inadvertently tripped over a couple of wire and detaching them from the recording boxes, it wasn’t spotted until the timing guy came back from the start of the 10k. Therefore, if you finished in that approx. time, we may not have captured a result – apologies. Hopefully, you were wearing a watch and you got your time from that.
Thistle Timing are working on the results page, and it may be updated with more data after the weekend – they have more races today.
Hope to see you all again next year - we've put our order in again for great weather - Thank you to everyone once again including our local sponsors.

The 2026 Huntly Room to Run will soon be here and we've got an absolutely packed Huntly Hairst alongside the running events that makes it a definite date for the diary. It's an amazing day out and something for all the family. There's kids races, %km fun run, a tough 10k and a half marathon.
We're getting that time when we have to finalise numbers for medals and tee's so it would greatly help if you can get your entries in this week to ensure we get the numbers just right - we'd hate to order too few and disappoint and likewise, we don't want to over order.
So, go to www.roomtorun.uk to secure your place for the 5th September.

Help support Huntly-Cricket-Club as their players prepare to put in the extra yards in a marathon fundraising effort for the club this weekend.
Starting at 6:00pm on Friday 20th March, the marathon begins — and for 24 hours, they won’t stop.
Runners will take on one-hour relay slots, throughout the day and night. On Saturday morning, the junior runners will shine during a special two-hour block, bringing energy, music and a brilliant family atmosphere.
And by 6:00pm Saturday, the club will finish together back at the clubhouse, celebrating everyone who ran, supported and sponsored.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the effort can do so at: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/huntlycc
Or come along and cheer them all on.

10 YEARS, 10 STORIES - HUNTLY SPORTS TRUST
Like most folks involved in sports, the committee of Huntly Sports Trust prefer to be out and about, enjoying the great outdoors or in a nice warm gym or pool, so we're conscious we've not been too active on social media lately. But we have been busy and we've hopefully got some exciting news to share soon on expanding the sports and leisure facilities in the area.
We couldn't do what we do, without the support of organisations such as Vattenfall and the Clashndarroch Wind Farm Community Fund who supported us in the replacement of a tired old Astro turf surface at the heart of the Meadows.
Here's a little video on just one of the stories that makes up 10 years, 10 stories on the what the fund has brought to the town and surrounding community.
