Indoor fun fitness training and now the weather doesn't matter! Come and get fit outdoors. Exercise using your body weight, the environment available and some small pieces of equipment.

The session will vary week on week, adapted to the group, tide and weather! Suitable for all abilities, however if you do have any medical issues please contact me prior to the session, or come along a few minutes early to discuss. Outdoor bootcamps meet on the promenade between the Hythe and Saltwood Sailing Club and Hythe Bay Restaurant. Active yoga is currently online via zoom.

What a fantastic week… 8 days of solid skiing, we had powder days, white outs, sleet, sun, snow…. You name it! Made great new friends, everyone had a blast. Not sure my aching body is quite prepared for hiit at 7am tomorrow though 😂⛷🙈

Hythe Beach Bootcamp turned 7 today!

Here are the photos of my (little) girls helping me plan my first session…. Yes it was snowing!

We have come such a long way. I have made some amazing friends and we have achieved an immeasurable amount of greatness amongst us all.

I still have many wonderful bootcampers who started this journey with me still coming regularly, some have gone, some have returned, all are very special. Thank you to everyone who has supported and enjoyed HBB along the way. New members are always warmly welcomed.

Lots of lovely people walking by say hello and cheer us on, some dogs love us, some find us a bit scarey, all enjoying our wonderful and ever-changing beachfront location… whatever the weather!

So here is to the next 7 years!

Love this….

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand.The students laughed..

‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—-your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions—-and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else—-the small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.

Take care of the golf balls first—-the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’ The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of beers with a friend.


Don’t know the source of this. Don’t know and actually don’t mind if it’s made up or true although I’d love to have been taught by someone who did experiments like this. What’s important here is the lesson. That’s the bit to take away and mull over xx

Every Monday and Friday 0700-0730 to start and finish your working week 💪🏼💦

//DAY 28// Challenge complete 😁🤩💪🏼

I have enjoyed a lovely walk and super late lunch out, I hope you have had equally lovely days today to mark the end of your 28 day challenge.

I am delighted to say that personally I have noticed a difference in my own body from the consistency of showing up each day…. I am pretty sure hiit 2x per week has played a big part too 😉

If you have partaken a little or a lot, with the physical part or on a nutritional basis, or just enjoyed reading my posts ready for a push in the new year I would really love to hear your feedback…. What was good, what was not, what was most interesting to read/see, what made you make some form of change to your habits, your physical results…..

The more you can tell me, the better plans I can make in the future for you all 🤔

Thank you so much for sharing this journey and giving me all your energy. I hope you have a wonderful buildup to Christmas and enjoy some well deserved down time.

//DAY 27// Final push today.

It was fresh outside this morning but we soon warmed up with handball!

Your last workout if you didn’t make bootcamp this morning is a cracking session …. Boxing with weights, let me know how you get on, you might feel this one in a day or two!

//DAY 26// Failed to post but smashed out 3 classes, 2 dog walks and a Christmas late night shop!

Today as you all know by now was hiit. I am so delighted to hear that those who have consistently showed up are feeling fitter, stronger and more energised in such a short space of time. I have definitely toned more and lost a little body fat… always a bonus before Christmas!

Hiit is a regular online class for HBB on Fridays mornings and I will add in the new slot of Mondays too from January as it has been well received. Please dm me for details if you would like to join us for a live online classes each week 😁💪🏼

1) meal planning (ensure you get some nice healthy balanced ones on the menu to make up for the nit such good days!)
2) book hiit…. This is your last week, let’s go out on a high. If you haven’t made any or many in the last three weeks then don’t let that stop you doing tomorrow 😉😁

I cannot believe we are almost into our last week in this challenge and dare I say it 2 weeks from Christmas!

//DAY 18// Check in time... are you swimming or sinking?

Are you totally overwhelmed with life, Christmas, Covid, the thought of working from home again?


Today is about just that, taking some time out to thank our bodies for everything they do for us, stretching and renewing. However, more importantly right now I think it is our minds that need the time out. My head was spinning last night so I couldn't sleep for ages with so many thoughts whirring through. When I get overwhelmed I flit from one thing to the next so never quite get anything done apart from whipping myself and everyone around me into a frenzy 🙈

I plan to do some guided meditation later so I will let you know how that goes.

Good news however for you all is that my Active Yoga is ONLINE tonight from 6-7pm. If you would like to join me for a live, beautifully calming yoga session then DM me and I will send you a link... and it is FREE tonight 🧘‍♀️🙏💛

Remember two things :
1) if you feel overwhelmed please talk to someone, I am always here, sometimes you cannot see the light out of your own tunnel but others can.
2) Book on for hiit tomorrow, what yoga won't solve hiit will 🤣
