Queen Bees Netball Club

Queen Bees Netball Club A welcoming friendly netball club in Ilkeston with 5 teams, playing in various leagues across Derby and Notts.

Currently full (although still looking for experienced defenders) but feel free to message to join our waiting list 😊 Queen Bees cater for all abilities and strive to develop players both physically and cognitively through game play, drills and tactics. The club encourages players to get involved in different aspects of the club including coaching development, umpiring development and committee involvement. Players' opinions are valued and players are supported through quality coaching sessions, personalised targets set in agreement by both players themselves and coaches, and the use of continual analysis is available. Queen Bees play in a variety of local leagues, including Two Counties Netball (multiple Nottingham venues), Ashfield Netball 4 U (Ravenshead) and Derby Netball 4 U (Derbyshire venues). Alongside this we participate in many tournaments. Not only on the court are players socialising but the club also have social events to bring players together even more! Sessions are fun, informative and get your pulses racing! Queen Bees endeavour to bring the passion of netball to all that participate. Training info:

When: Mondays 7.30-9pm (every other week)

✨ As the new season starts we have some new committee members to introduce! ✨

We’d like to thank Bronny for her time in this role over the past few seasons as she takes a break from the committee.

So time to meet Jenni or Jen 👋🏻
She’s our first aid and kit bag officer making sure all club bags are stocked up on everything needed!
Jenni is a C / WA and joined the bees 🐝 back in Feb 2025!
She doesn’t have a pre game snack, but depending on the time of the match she may eat half her tea before she plays 😋
Her netball ick is black trainers 👟 with white socks 🧦
Jenni can’t live without her phone 📱 and when not at netball you’ll find her working, at the pub 🍻, going for walks 🚶🏼‍♀️ or cleaning up 🧹 after the family!
Jenni joined the bees 🐝 because another lovely bee 🐝 Jade convinced her to try it and said she’d love it, she wasn’t wrong! 💛🖤

10 bees 🐝 entered a new tournament this year and what a gem it was!

We met some local competition and a fair few teams who had travelled to take part!

We played both Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and there were some very tough teams! But we took a couple of wins a number of draws and challenged in some very competitive games! 👏🏻 👏🏻
