A great warm day of bowls in the county league sees 4 out of 5 teams win today .

Ilminster A secured a 4 shot overall win over Clevedon Prom a great tight game coming towards the end. The match going down to the last end all square . Ilminster coming out with a 11-1 win .

Ilminster B had a 3 shot win over Bath B winning 10-2 and again a great team win .

Ilminster C won 10-2 over Eastover Park .

Ilminster D suffered the only defeat of the day against Wellington .

Ilminster E secured a 11-1 win over South Petherton .

Tomorrow sees our open taster day starting at 10 am and also Tony Alcock double rink starting at 11 am .

A great evening at Ilminster last night with live music , football and lots of laughs with a packed out bar . Thanks to everyone who supported the club last night we really do appreciate it .

Unfortunately a defeat in the double rink last night against Watchet on an extra end was the only blemish on the evening .

We go again today with 5 teams playing and 60
Men playing bowls this afternoon . Games at home start at 2.30 and football kicks off with Qatar v Switzerland at 8 pm .

We start a busy weekend at Ilminster Bowling & Tennis Club!

Tonight sees Ilminster A in action in a Double Rink fixture against Watchet, with play getting underway at 6:00pm.

This evening we are also delighted to welcome back Rising Tide, who will be performing live from 8:30pm. They were a huge hit on their previous visit to the club, and we look forward to another fantastic night of music.

Football fans can also enjoy live World Cup action from 8:00pm, as Canada take on Bosnia.

Saturday brings another busy day on the greens with County League fixtures:

• Ilminster A (home) vs Clevedon Prom
• Ilminster B away to Bath
• Ilminster C away to Eastover Park
• Ilminster D (home) vs Wellington
• Ilminster E away to South Petherton

On Saturday evening, we will also be showing the World Club Football match between Qatar and Switzerland.

Sunday sees the return of the Ilminster Experience, with the town coming together for a fantastic summer event. As part of the day, Ilminster Bowls will be holding an Open Day from 10:00am to 12:00pm. We welcome anyone who would like to come along, have a go at bowls, and discover a new sport. All equipment and coaching will be provided.

Unfortunately defeat last night for Ilminster B in the national two fours to Taunton . Winning on one rink but losing heavily on the other .

Ilminster tonight have the West Somerset Bowls League . Ilminster A travel to North Petherton and Ilminster B are at home to Bridgwater

Louis Ridout progressed to the semi finals of the county singles last night after a 21-17 win over South Petherton .

Louis advances to semi finals day and is also there in the national pairs with his partner Sam Steel .
