We were a busy jog group this past weekend with our members taking part in races near and far. First up was Jamie Thomson who took part in Millstone Hill race on Friday night and then in true JT style, Jamie went on to run Crathes half on Saturday. Other members who took part in the half were Charlie Wood, and Diane Rotherham whilst James Law and Kat Barnard took part in the 5k. Jeni Rees Jenkins and Laura Coupar travelled to Edinburgh to take part in the hilly Edinburgh Trail Marathon on Saturday and on Sunday Fi Loveday travelled to Newcastle to take part in the uks largest half marathon, the Great North Run. FI was also running to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young. Well done Fi. And finally Diana Thomson travelled to John O Groats to take part in the first most northerly 10k on mainland Uk.

What a great day it was for JSI as some of our members took part in the Room to Run Races in Huntly. Jan Law began the proceedings by running the half marathon and as she was running the route, the 5k was taken on by Jamie Thomson and Kat Barnard who is making a grand recovery after injury. Then it was time for the 10k which was ran by Jamie Thomson, his second race of the day, Charlie Wood and Diane Rotherham.
Well done everyone! You smashed it!

There have been a good few races since we last posted. Our leaders Charlie and Di completed the D33, there was a good turnout at Balmoral, Fi and Di competed London Marathon doing it their way, Laura , Di and Fi completed the Moray coastal 50 K and JSI hit Garioch races last week! Meg and April also took on Garioch but managed to evade a photo and Richard completed the 1/2 Mara.
Our leader Jamie and his wife Mhairi took on Ben Nevis and survived and Charlie and Anna conquered Inverness 1/2 !
We had a relaxed run and coffee at Kellockbank yesterday and we tried out the Bennachie Summer Series Thursday past but it was hail stoning so no photo to share this time ! What a fabulous fun start to the year!
