Iv been out with Albert and Ioan for the last 2 days.

The Aim was Ice and the Ben delivered the goods!

For first day we climb "The Gutter" on the side of Tower Ridge, it joins Tower Ridge Just above tower gap in a stunning location. Then i quick mounaineer to the top and back down Number 4 Gully.

Well done lads on your first days ice climbing.

Day 4 and 5 saw us back to Creag Meagaidh for a trip up the Wand V/5 then down Reaburns Gullys.

Then Center Post Driect V/5 and down Easy Gully.

Both routes Luke said are 2 of his besy days climbing ever!

Il take that.

Day 3 and a Change of venue.

Continuing the theme of Ice so, Creqg Meagaidh was the place to be.

We climbed "Diadem" in thw cloudes but in lovely chewy ice.

Winter 5 day climbing course | Day 2 (Tuesday) of Luke's Guided Winter Week saw us heading up high on Ben Nevis.

The first route of the day we climbed some FAT Ice on a beautiful ice bulge that forms in the 'Gultch' a nice pitch of Scottish V/5 followed by our second route with was' Italian Right Hand' IV:4.

This was lukes first taste of Ice and its so impressive to see how well he moves.

Ice conditions was amazing at the moment, its been a long wait but WOW its great to see scotland in her FULL winter coat!

The only 2 photos i have from Mondays Ascent of Tower Ridge are of the 2 main traverses. Pic number 1 is low down on the Western traverse and Pic 2 is high up on the Eastern traverse, just below the Great Tower.

Turns out we was having to much fun for pictures.

Last week I was out doing some mentoring with two WMCI trainees who have assessments coming up.

The focus for the day was mountaineering, predominantly looking at moving clients around snow slopes and protecting clients when accessing cliffs with large aprons, or descending back down gullies. Lots of learning, and importantly lots of laughs.

Day 2 of the Performance Winter Climbing Course saw our vwry talented friend and freechancer - Tim, take Gleb for a blue sky and lobely climb up a Coire classic 'Sterling Bomber' and then a victory lap up Fiacaill Coire an t-sneachda to a very alpine Cairngorm Plateau.

Thank you Tim!

Gleb looks like he got a brilliant 3 days out! Go Team!!!

A wonderful day with Gleb on a Perfomance Winter Climbing Course.

We climbed Rottweiler (V/6) on Lurchers Crag. He crushed it, no suprise really when he told me Leads 7c sport and has climbed E4!!!! Wild.

Wonderful Day out With Matt and Pete today hiding from some scary snow developing on North facing Cliffs by aiming for South facing Venues.

Matt and I have had many days out now, with the aim of climbing some Ice and today it all came together.

Proper Scottish Day out.
