Congratulations to 90-year-old Peter, who on Thursday became the oldest person ever to cycle from Land's End to John o'Groats 👏

All three of his children joined him on the epic 1,100-mile challenge along the length of the UK.

Peter, who cycled a total of almost 3,500 miles this year while training for his journey, told us he's been met with more encouragement than he expected:

“So many people have been generous. One lady leant out of her car window in a traffic jam and gave me five pounds.

“When my older son was with me someone paid for our meal. Lots of people have been doing that sort of thing.

“It’s been lovely spending time with my children at different stages through beautiful scenery.”

Mark won't be at work on Saturday because he's swimming 2.26km in the sea, riding 92km including the infamous Bealach na Ba, then running 21km in mountainous Torridon (https://cxtri.com/solo-point-five) . I don't know why he needs Sunday off.

The thing is, four years ago Mark had a bike accident resulting in a broken back, neck, pelvic bleed and brain injury.

Charlie took a route up the west coast of Scotland that required 5 ferries and visited the Isles of Bute, Mull & Skye on his way to the finish at John O'Groats. I wonder how far it is to Charlie's home in The Philippines?
