Local player from IBC, Scott got off to a good start in the U25’s today. Good luck to IBC’s triple and Planefield’s Eunice & Ali in the week and all the other District 1 players and clubs still to have their day. Jutta, a fellow NCLBA team member is into the semi-final in the O55’s Ladies Singles in Lossie colours. Jutta’s 12pm was live streamed and is available on the YouTube channel. We wish everyone well 🍀

Congrats to Beno/Mike (L), Willie and Jenny (Skip) for winning the Tom Mackenzie Triples 2026. Nice looking back at the names engraved from years past. Ricky, Neil and Ron were the runners up this year.
Great day on Saturday. All went smoothly, thanks to great organising and help from members throughout the afternoon. Round robin format which everyone seemed to enjoy. The weather held for us (well the wind kept the rain off). BBQ - great feast. Thanks to Munro Butcher - Butchers and Wholesalers for supplying the meats 🍖 . Thanks also to Carlton, Allan and Gavin for the expert cooking! 🧑🍳 Thanks to Nicola for the excellent tray bakes 🍰 Delicious! A feast indeed...

Waterloo recently welcomed a couple of groups for some school holiday activities.
Local Active Schools Coordinators Susan Blackwood (Charleston Academy) and Craig Carswell (Inverness High School), the latter in partnership with Grace Wrightson from the ICT Trust with some of their sports leaders brought along some young people to experience an introduction to playing bowls. Looking forward to having the Inverness Caledonian Thistle Community Development back on the 6th August.

Results from Waterloo Open Pairs Competition 2026 🏆
Congratulations to the winners of a closely played final, Barbara and Neil (Skip) from Beauly. Hard luck to the runners up Gary and Dave (Skip) from Planefield
On behalf of Angus Shearer President at Waterloo and the Club we would like to thank everyone who made the day such a success.
From all the teams (26) representing 12 clubs stretching from A - Aviemore to B - Brora and places in between. Friends old and new. And to Waterloo club members who played and helped out with the hosting and raffle. To Brian for the loan of Planefield Bowling Club green and helping out a neighbouring club. Much appreciated. And last but not least, to Willie at Ness City Tyres for sponsoring the tournament and Munro Butcher - Butchers and Wholesalers for providing excellent fare for hungry bowlers.
Sorry no pics as yet but they will follow tomorrow.
