We're back at Northern Meeting Park today as we welcome Highland CC for another big league fixture.

With both sides firmly in the mix for the league title, there's plenty at stake, and we're hoping for another competitive contest between two Inverness clubs.

🌟 NCCC Open Day – Wildcats in Action! 🌟

Our NCCC Open Day gets underway with our Wildcats taking to the field for a Junior T10 7-a-side fixture against Highland CC.

It's a fantastic way to kick off the day, with our young players showcasing the progress they've made this season in what promises to be an exciting contest.

This is the first of two matches taking place as part of our NCCC Open Day, before our senior side faces Highland CC at 12:00pm in a crucial league clash.

🏏 This Saturday 🏏

The countdown is on!

On Saturday we'll be celebrating the reopening of The Meeting Park with a full day of cricket and club activities.

It's a day we've been looking forward to for a long time, and we're excited to welcome players, members, former members, families, friends and supporters back to our home ground.

The day will feature:
🏏 Junior cricket from 10:00am
🏏 Northern Counties vs Highland – 12:00pm
🍔 BBQ after the senior match

We hope to see plenty of familiar faces as we mark this special occasion for the club.

🏏 Weekend Cricket Results 🏏

It was a weekend of big scores, plenty of boundaries and lots of positives for Northern Counties.

🏆 T20 Final – Saturday

Our senior side were involved in a real run-fest, posting 184/7 from our 20 overs thanks in large part to a superb 83 from Alex Green. 👏🔥 At the halfway stage, 184/7 looked like a very competitive total.

Unfortunately for us, Basit Watoo and Graeme Carney produced two outstanding innings, combining some incredible ball striking to guide Ross County to victory with overs to spare. Credit to Ross County, who batted exceptionally well on the day and were worthy winners. Congratulations to everyone involved. 👏🏆

💪 Development Team – Sunday

On Sunday, our Development Team welcomed Highland to Northern Meeting Park, looking to bounce back after our previous cup defeat.

We made a solid start with the bat, but a cluster of middle-order wickets slowed our momentum and left us looking at a below-par total. Valuable contributions from Jamil and Nihil helped steer us to a competitive 170. 👏🏏

With the ball, every bowler chipped in with wickets, but unfortunately extras proved costly and we couldn't quite stem the flow of boundaries. A few late wickets gave us hope and made for an exciting finish, but Highland just edged over the line.

Considering our recent run of form, and Highland's excellent record in Development cricket over the last couple of years, there are plenty of positives to take. The performances continue to improve, and we'll look to build on them in the weeks ahead.

The Open Day will feature cricket throughout the day, starting with junior action before our senior side takes on Highland.

It’s a great opportunity to see our juniors involved, support the senior team and enjoy a full day at The Meeting Park.

Our Development XI are back at The Meeting Park this Sunday as they welcome Highland for a 12:00pm start.

After a challenging run of results, the team will be looking to put in a strong performance, end the losing streak and get back to winning ways.

It promises to be a great afternoon of cricket, and we’d love to see plenty of support down at The Meeting Park as the squad looks to bounce back.

A huge amount of effort has gone into getting The Meeting Park ready for its next chapter.

We’d like to thank everyone who has contributed their time and support in helping bring the ground back to life.

Our Open Day on Saturday 25th July will be a chance for the Northern Counties community to come together, enjoy some cricket and celebrate the reopening of our home.

After an enforced weekend off due to the weather, our senior side is looking forward to getting back out on the field this Saturday for a huge fixture.

It's T20 Finals Day as we take on Ross County at Nairn Links, with the match getting underway at 12:00pm.

With the first piece of silverware of the season up for grabs, both sides will be eager to get their hands on the trophy. We're expecting a fiercely competitive contest, and your support would be greatly appreciated as we look to bring the cup back to Inverness.
