Special thanks to birthday boy Kiernan last night for being the match mascot. It's great to see ice hockey growing in the north. Kiernan got his photo with Captain Super Barnie, and Captain Woolfy. Both great players to watch.

We welcomed the Lossiemouth Jets to Inverness tonight for the final home game before the big defrost. The Jets ultimately secured a 10-4 win. Both teams played hard, with some great individual performances.

The mountain men of Aviemore Avalanche Ice Hockey Club are travelling north tonight to the big city to take on the Hurricanes at Inverness Ice Centre. It's a home game for the Avalanche. You can support the ice centre by buying at the bar.

Entry to the headliner at 8pm is free - but consider supporting by donating to the fundraiser Stuart Nelson did for the Highland Hospice .
Stuart completed skating a marathon in 2 hours and 33 minutes, which deserves a donation by itself.
