Nice we Saturday trip to glen tanar for the running festival!
Another cheeky podium finish! Joint 3rd place podium with Ali for 3rd female over the line
And we both got 1st female category places
My last year as a senior! 😱
Hyrox training is defo paying off for my running times!!!

Skye 10k
Not really sure what to say about this one!
I was meant to run the half marathon but between work and training for my hybrid races I just haven’t done the distance work, think I’ve ran 1 12k this year
I’ve done loads of 5kms and a tone of speed work for the hybrid races!
Well, I crossed the start line with the plan of just finishing the race, I knew it was full of hills, again I haven’t done much hill work, maybe 3 sessions.
Last 10k race I did I was about 56 mins my usual is about 51/52min for a race on a good day.
I crossed the start line and never looked at my watch for time or pace, I just went purely by my breathing and how I was feeling, I didn’t care about my time I just wanted to complete it
It was hot and humid there was zero air and there was defo hills! But I was actually feeling pretty strong .
I got to 6k and though I was 5th or 6th female so decided to try my best to keep the current pace.
Thankfully there was a nice 1.5km downhill finish which defo helped on the time.
Crossed the line to a nice surprise of my watching saying 48.57 😯 I thought It was an error, stood speaking to lassie who was just in front of me, again she thought she was 3rd or 4th female
Even bigger surprise when Skye news came over to ask for an interview with 1st and 2nd female.
I’ve never had a category placing let alone an actual race placing so I am over the moon with 2nd female.

So last night I was down in Glasgow, charging about the epic course that was .
Cheeky 10th place which I am delighted with!
There is 100% something to be said for slightly smaller events! The atmosphere. Marshals, spectators and competitors are all amazing!.
I really really liked the set up in this with 3 stations before a run it was a really good balance and if you don’t love running it’s a really good race!
I can’t recommend this one enough I 100% will be doing it again!
I loved Hyrox but I really loved this one!
Especially the hurdles they are just ace fun! 🦘
