First game of the season today and we played Bacton United Away.

We started the match very positively, Every player was putting in 110% effort on the pitch, We finally reaped our awards with a fine ball from Kristers over the defence for Tyson to stab home. We continued the momentum through the remainder of the first half and lead 1-0 at half time.

Second half the boys started strong again, Our 2nd goal can early in the 2nd half, Starting from our new keeper Alfie, We passed the ball out from the back into midfield and the ball was then played wide to Natan who whipped in a lovely cross for Jayden to run in at the back post and smash it into the net.
Our 3rd goal scored from a corner, Kade in swung a great corner and James stooped to header the ball in the far post of the net.

Bacton pulled 2 goals back within the last 10mins but the boys deservedly hung on to claim the 3 points.

Really proud of the whole team, It was a great team effort ⚽️🐉

This morning we had another tough league game, We played at home against Sporting 87 Omega who have recently been on a very good run.

We started really fast and unlucky not to score a goal within the first min, We kept the intensity up as we know Sporting 87 are a good team. Our first goal came from fantastic work down the left hand-side, Tyson was in the area and slid the ball across to Mason who took a touch to control and
placed a lovely shot into the bottom corner this gave the boys more confidence and enthusiasm which helped us remain on top.

Our second goal came from good work on the right side, Mason turned the defender and won a free kick about 25 yards out. Harley whipped in the free kick which came off the post and went in the back of the net.

We continued to play our football and was winning 2-0 at half term.

Second half Sporting came out fighting however the boys kept their discipline, shape and withstood the pressure. We managed to add a third with a great ball over the defence and ever running Tyson got to the ball, passed it back to the edge of the area for Lucas to take a shot which was on target but the defender blocked it, Thankfully the ball fell nicely to Harley to squeeze it in.

We won 3-0, it was a phenomenal performance against a very good team. Every single player gave 110% and not only did we score 3 goals we kept a fantastic clean sheet which everyone contributed too.

The result meant so much to the boys and you could see the togetherness amongst them.

Well done Dragons 🐉⚽️

I would also like to thank the supporters for following the FA’s Silent weekend.

Second half was abit more tricky, Kesgrave came out fighting and put us under pressure. We won the match 5-3. Really proud of the boy’s performance and really pleased to get a win!

Tyson has recently joined us and has been a really good addition, Yesterday he scored 2 goals and put in a good shift. We are looking forward to seeing him progress more 🐉

Last week we played Sudbury at home who are the league leaders and haven’t lost a game all season. After a really hard battle we lost 4-1. The wind in the 2nd half was not on our side and made the game even tougher but we didn’t give up.

After a few postponements due to weather, we were back in action against Sudbury in the league with a very early start for the boys.
Sudbury are undefeated so far this season so we knew this was going to be a tough game.
Sudbury started really well scoring 5 goals in the first half. Second half the boys fought really hard and kept the score at 5 whilst looking to try and get back into the game. We played a lot better in the 2nd half, The boys came out strong and believed in themselves.

Man Of The Match - Jake 🐉⚽️

Jake joined us at the beginning on the season and each week he’s showed good leadership & is very vocal.
This week he played in a new position and played really well. He deserved MOTM. Well done Jake.

Last weekend we played Hadleigh at home with another early kick off. We didn’t have the best start to the game and conceded 2 goals however after having a good chat with the boys at half time, they came out fighting in the 2nd half. They showed really good character and scored from the penalty spot after Leo was tripped in the box. Unfortunately another loss but it was a much better performance and we were very unlucky not to get something from the game.

Man Of The Match - Finn 🐉⚽️
Goal Scorer - Leo ⚽️

Finn started the match really well, Was calm on the ball but also tough / fair in tackles. He kept the midfield ticking. In the 2nd half he played left back which is an unfamiliar role but played extremely well. Well Done Finn

Yesterday we played a friendly against Wickham Market, We used the friendly to experiment players in different positions along with welcoming a few trialists. Although the game was goalless it was very entertaining. Some good football played. Very proud of the boys for keeping a clean sheet.

Man Of The Match - James 🐉⚽️

James played very well yesterday, He contributed by making good saves and interceptions. Keep it up James.
