Some really tough parkruns in the last two weeks.
Lots of hills.
Managed to run with the poles on the last one, practicing for next year’s Yorkshire Challenge.

parkrun in the wind and then a quick dip in the River Yare to get my in.
Hung off the ladder on the side of the River didn’t dare let go.

And I’m off to a good start with a 233m swim at Felixstowe this afternoon.
Also counts towards Deben Bluetits distance challenge. 🏊🏻‍♀️

Last weekend I actually completed the 2 mile Serpentine swim. 🏊 something that has been on the to do list since 2019.

Wasn’t ready and had actually bailed the day before as worried about the water temp (it’s dropped quickly this autumn).

I’m super chuffed that I went and did it, it wasn’t pretty and suffered a lot from cramp, probably from not hydrating the day before. But lessons learnt and as we always say ‘it will be better next time’ 😆

Massive thanks to the kayak support as not only was I able to hang off the kayaks two of the lovely gentlemen gave me massage. I wouldn’t have been able to relax enough to release the cramp without their help 🙌 😍

Trip to Cornwall giving these bungalow legs a workout.
Especially at St Micheal’s Mount where I definitely needed the poles as steep and uneven.
Eden Project parkrun was a lot of fun as well as pretty. Managed to get my best time in years as even though the up hills were tough it was amazing running the downs.
Started off feeling a bit too hot, some nice drizzle in the middle and finished in a monsoon 🌧️

Dublin in a day (again). Bushy park Ireland.
The prettiest parkrun I’ve ever been too. Walked with the poles as has 2nd round of steroid injections in my foot earlier in the week.
And of course some refreshments 🍻
