🎉A VERY SPECIAL 100TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! 🎂

Everyone at Ipswich & District Indoor Bowls Club would like to wish our member Doug Williamson a very happy 100th birthday! 🥳

Doug is celebrating this incredible milestone on 11th October 2026 and is a familiar face at the club as one of our dedicated Early Birds, bowling every Monday, Wednesday and Friday! 👏🏼

This morning, the Early Birds came together to celebrate Doug with a lovely gathering, complete with birthday cake and a delicious selection of sweet and savoury treats! 🎂

It was a wonderful opportunity for Doug’s bowls family to mark such an amazing milestone and show him just how much he is thought of 🥰

100 years young — what an incredible achievement!

Happy 100th Birthday, Doug! We hope you have a fantastic birthday and a wonderful year ahead, with plenty more happy times on the bowls green!

With very best wishes from everyone at Ipswich & District Indoor Bowls Club! 💙

SOCIAL MEDIA CO-ORDINATOR – REINTRODUCTION 🤗

As the winter indoor season gets underway, I thought it was time to reintroduce myself!

I’m Amy, and you’ll see me (and little one Stanley 👶🏼) around the club at various times throughout the season, supporting our family, friends and the club as a whole 😊

I’d love to hear from you throughout the season, so if you have something you’d like to see shared across our social media pages, please get in touch with me at:

📧 [email protected]

Whether it’s:

🏆 Personal wins and achievements
🎯 Team games and results
📅 Upcoming fixtures
👥 Team selections
🎉 Club events and celebrations
👏 Or anything else you think our members would love to see!

I’d love to hear from you and share your news with the rest of our club community.

We pride ourselves on celebrating your achievements, no matter how big or small they may be, and I’m really looking forward to continuing to showcase all the brilliant things happening across our club!

So, if you see me and Stanley around the club, come and say hello! 💙

And if you see me taking photos – give us a grin! 😁📸

☕ Big Coffee Morning – A Huge Thank You!

Gill & Frosties Big Coffee Morning went very well, and we are delighted to announce that we raised an amazing £536.00! 🎉

A huge thank you to Kate for giving up her time to run the draw, and to Dariusz and Gill for all their hard work and help. Not forgetting Frostie for everything he's doing to arrange our fundraisers and support our club, what a wonderful President we have! 🤩

It certainly took a lot of effort in the lead-up to the event, with lots of baking, late nights and early mornings, but it was all worth it!

The money raised will be split equally between the Indoor Carpet Fund and the Outdoor Green Maintenance!

Thank you to everyone who helped, baked, donated, supported and came along. Your generosity is very much appreciated 💙
