Weekend Yard Staff Wanted

We are looking for a reliable and friendly person to join our lovely livery yard team.

Duties include:

* All usual yard duties
* General horse care and stable management

The ideal candidate must:

* Be confident and experienced around horses
* Be hardworking and reliable
* Enjoy working as part of a friendly team

Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (paid lunch hour included)
A half day would also be considered. There is potential for additional hours and holiday cover.

** Full-Time Groom Wanted – Friendly Livery Yard **

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic full-time groom to join our team.

Hours:

5 days per week (including one weekend day)

8:00am – 5:00pm

Paid lunch hour included

Holiday entitlement

The role includes all usual yard duties, with the added opportunity to ride and help keep the yard owner's horses and ponies fit. We're looking for someone who is confident and competent in their riding ability – the horses are kind and straightforward.

The ideal candidate will:

Work well as part of a team

Communicate effectively with other staff members

Keep the yard manager updated and report any issues

Be responsible, reliable, and mature enough to take charge of the yard when the yard manager is absent

Due to the recent rise in Equine Flu cases, we will now require proof of vaccinations before allowing external horses to use our facilities.

When booking the arenas, please also send a photo of your horse’s passport, including:
• The front page
• Vaccination records

OBSTACLE/DESENSITISATION CLINICS

PERFECT FOR YOUNG HORSES!

Come along for an informative session with a variety of novel obstacles and tips on how to help your horse stay relaxed and below threshold in a new environment.
Perfect for all young (or old) horses that need some help building their confidence and curiosity in a calm, relaxed and supportive environment.

All sessions involve learning how to successfully apply positive reinforcement techniques to help your horses feel confident around new obstacles!

All clinics are groundwork based but if you fancy trying them ridden then these can be done at private clinics at your yard!

Monday 20th April at ARU Writtle, Essex - 6:15-7:45pm

Monday 4th May at Water Farm EC, Suffolk - 1:15-2:45pm

Monday 29th June at ARU Writtle, Essex - 6:15-7:45pm

All sessions are £45 per combination, this deposit is non-refundable unless we can fill your space.
