🏑 Home to 5 Men’s Teams, 4 Women’s teams and numerous Junior Teams

Ipswich - East Suffolk Hockey Club is based at Ipswich School Sports Centre, Ipswich, Suffolk. The club consists of 5 Mens teams, 4 Ladies teams and a thriving Junior Section. All teams play in the East Region Hockey Association North East league. IES are always keen to welcome new members. We have teams at all levels so even if you’ve never played before or have years of experience then give us a look. We are friendly club, playing good hockey with the added bonus of a good and active social side. For more information visit the club website. The Club aims to promote a happy and constructive atmosphere both on and off the pitch. We are ambitious to advance to higher levels. The Club places great emphasis on our Youth Coaching programme and policy, as well as supporting the attainment of official qualifications for our coaches and umpires. Indeed, we have been in receipt of considerable grant aid in recent years to help finance these specific objectives. The Club is working towards achievement of Clubs 1st accreditation - the national standard for provision of a safe and high quality environment for bringing young players into the sport. A key aim in general is to bring young players through into adult hockey and expand the opportunities to play by increasing the number of teams competing. This objective is not easy and we need all the commitment from senior members and others that we can get. https://linktr.ee/IESHC

New season. New shirt. Same club values. ❤️🏑

This isn’t just a fresh look for the season ahead. It’s a celebration of everything that makes our club unique.

Proudly backed by local Ipswich business , alongside the continued support of .co.uk and , this shirt represents the local businesses that help drive our club forward.

We’re also honoured to wear on our senior kits and .futures on our junior kits, championing causes that matter deeply to our hockey family.

Look closely and you’ll spot 1986 on the back. A nod to our beginnings, as we proudly celebrate our 40th anniversary this year. A reminder that while we’re always looking to the future, we’ll never forget where we came from.

Built by our community. Inspired by our past. Ready for our future.
❤️

This isn’t something we can exactly hide anymore… mainly because it’s 60m long 🥴😂

We’ve officially got a brand-new pitch divider! 🙌

A huge THANK YOU to for their incredibly generous donation, which has covered the cost of this much-needed piece of equipment.

It’s going to make a huge difference — helping keep our space safe and stopping all those training balls from making a break for it! 🏑💨

We genuinely couldn’t do what we do without amazing sponsors like

From everyone at IES — THANK YOU! ❤️🙌

A busy one across our club — home games at Rushmere and a full set of away fixtures around Suffolk and Norfolk. 🎉

The Men’s 1s and 2s are heading out together on the bus for their double‑header at Dereham, always a tough place to go and always a good day when the squads travel as one 🚌 give them a wave if you see them 👋

Plenty of hockey, plenty of challenges, and a chance for teams to build early‑season rhythm.

Good luck to everyone playing today — home or away, enjoy it and represent the badge well. 💙

A HUGEEEEE moment for the club 🤝❤️

We’re incredibly proud to welcome Fleximize | Business Loans for SMEs as our new front of shirt sponsor for the next three years — a Suffolk business backing Suffolk hockey 🙌

Their support helps us grow the game, strengthen our community, and keep creating opportunities for players of all ages across Ipswich & East Suffolk 🏑✨

Partnerships like this are what local sports clubs forward — and we’re buzzing to build something special together 💥

Without partnerships like these, our club simply couldn’t exist so thank you. Keep an eye over the coming weeks for information about our other sponsors and our kit refresh 👀👀👀

IES x Fleximize | Business Loans for SMEs → Together for the future of hockey in Suffolk ❤️🔥

We also welcome Lenny to the IES family ❤️

❤️🖤 Huge thank you to everyone who supported our Charity Day! ❤️🖤

Whether you donated, volunteered, played, umpired, or simply came along to support, every contribution made a huge difference. 🙌

A special shoutout to Reuben’s in Melton for stepping in at the last minute with the burgers 🍔🔥 They went down an absolute storm! Safe to say I know where I’ll be going for burgers from now on… 🤤

A big thank you as well to Revetts in Wickham Market for keeping us stocked with sausages 🌭 and Martins Bakery for providing the buns 🥖. The BBQ was a massive success… in fact, the only thing left on the grill was the charcoal! 😂

We’d also like to thank Alpha Physiotherapy for joining us and leading our warm-up 💪 It was fantastic to have you with us throughout the day and give you a chance to see what our club is all about.

This was a real community effort, with great people, great hockey and even better food. ❤️🖤

👀 Keep an eye on our socials as we’ll be revealing the total amount raised for charity
