Small friendly bowls club in Westbury Road, Ipswich Having just celebrated its 90th anniversary, St Johns URC Bowls Club was founded in 1934.
It is co-located with St Johns URC Tennis Club in Westbury Road, Ipswich. The club plays in the Ipswich leagues on Monday and Thursday evenings and friendly games with local clubs on Tuesday afternoons. It's a small friendly club with regular club tournaments and games throughout the season. Also an annual prize-giving dinner arranged in November. New members welcomed, young or old, any standard - beginners through to experienced.

Today we celebrated the day the USA declared their independence from the UK 🇬🇧 with a short green club competition and a BBQ! Congratulations to Ian and Sheila who won the competition 🏆 Thank you to all who supported the club today 😊

Great game at Kirton Bowls Club on Monday ☀️
Kirton won 56 shots against our 49 and scored 4 points to our 2 😊
Such a lovely game against Westerfield Whites on Thursday, gave us our second victory of the season 🎉
We scored 52 shots against their 50, so 4.5 points for us and 1.5 for them 😊

Anyway St John’s BC scored 40 shots to the Co-op’s 65!
0 points to us, 6 to them 😊
Great friendly at home against Roundwood yesterday afternoon ☀️
We scored 56 shots to Roundwood’s 43 😊
We played at Norbridge Bowls Club last night in the lovely evening sunshine ☀️
Norbridge scored 81 shots to our 37, and all 6 points went to them 😊
