After weeks of preparation, the new grassroots season finally gets underway this weekend, and we can’t wait to see some of our Irlam JFC teams back out there doing what they love.

And what a surface they’ve got to play on! 👏

The standard of the pitches at Silver Street is absolutely outstanding. A huge amount of time, effort and hard work has gone in behind the scenes to get them looking this good and ready for another busy season of junior football.

For a grassroots football club to have facilities and playing surfaces of this quality is something we can all be extremely proud of. 💙

Good luck to every Irlam JFC team starting their season this week. Enjoy your football represent the club in the right way.

⚽️ A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT SILVER STREET! 🇹🇷🤝🔵

A fantastic morning for two of our teams as our U9s and U13s welcomed Galatasaray to Silver Street.

Not every day our young players get the opportunity to share a pitch and test themselves against one of the biggest names in European football.

A brilliant experience for all the players involved, with plenty of football played and memories made. 💙⚽️

A huge thank you to everyone at Galatasaray for making the trip and we hope you enjoyed your time with us at Silver Street.

Days like today are what grassroots football is all about. 👏

Irlam FC are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Head Coach to lead our U18s team.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to play an important role in the development of our young players, both on and off the pitch.

⚽ THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering high-quality, age-appropriate training sessions.

Preparing the team for competitive fixtures.

Supporting the technical and individual development of players.

Creating a positive, inclusive and enjoyable football environment.

Working closely with players, parents/carers and the wider club.

Promoting high standards of discipline, respect and sportsmanship.

✅ ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

FA-recognised coaching qualification appropriate to the role.

FA Safeguarding Children qualification.

FA Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or equivalent.

FA DBS check, or willingness to complete one before commencing the role.

Previous experience coaching or working with youth players.

Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young people.

Ability to plan and deliver structured, engaging training sessions.

Match day!!! Get yourselves down for a great cause ⚽️🩵

We are proud to be hosting a charity football match this Saturday down at the club, Irlam Primary School staff will be taking on Irlam & Cadishead Academy staff to raise money for Willow who is a student at Irlam Primary and sadly been diagnosed with cancer! Let’s get behind her and her wonderful family this weekend, tickets can be purchased via the QR code or you can pay £5 at the gates on the day. Looks like the sunshine will be out, please come down and show your support for a fantastic cause ⚽️❤️
