Last weekend a few of our tech divers explored the Topaze, a WWII anti-submarine trawler wreck! 🤿
This challenging expedition provided an incredible opportunity to explore a piece of wartime history lying silently beneath the waves. The Topaze, originally a civilian vessel, was requisitioned by the Admiralty during WWII and converted for anti-submarine warfare. Her ultimate fate saw her sunk, and she now rests in around 65-70m off Wee Cumbrae, offering a unique dive site for experienced technical divers. The wreck is broken in two sections that sit close-by but are substantially intact. ⚓️

The club are just back from a brilliant dive on the north side of Little Cumbrae this afternoon! 🌊 Despite the slightly nippy water and less-than-crystal-clear visibility, the amount of life tucked away in all the nooks and crannies was incredible. So many fascinating things to spot! Another fantastic day out with the club.
