A great tournament for the ladies

NORTH DISTRICT

Well the dust has settled - 12 DISTRICT FINALS all finished
CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners especially those who won on Sunday at the Ayrshire Finals.
Two more Ayrshire Finals to go but that is now organised by the Ayrshire Secretary.

Now the Big Thank Yous

To all 19 Clubs in my District you did exceptional on organising the ties, getting markers and Umpires - you got the results to me very quickly as in most occasions I could report the tie sheets updated that night and always by the next morning - Well Done.

To the greenkeepers for all the preparation I must thank you for your dedication to our sport.

So I will now watch all the Clubs posting about their Finals and see who the new Champions are - all the best.

To my fellow Directors - President John, Charlie and Mark thank you for all your help and support.

Well 11 years as your District Secretary is a long time in the job. I have met and made a lot of new friends over the years.
My only request is that some will think of joining me on the Ayrshire Board or more importantly consider becoming an umpire as we are desperately short of umpires at the moment. I know that we are trying to organise an umpires course and I will post on here when the details are available.

As the 2026 season comes to a close thanks and let's look forward to 2027.

Finals Day is nearly here. While the excitement of Northfield continues Ayrshire players have still to see the spectacle of the Ayrshire Finals.

The finals are at Kilwinning Bowling Club on Sunday 16th August with the seniors starting at 10am and the others in the afternoon.

There is plenty of parking in the College Car Park.
