🔵 ALI’S RUN COMES TO AN END

Ali’s brilliant run in the Border Champion of Champions has come to an end in the semi-final, with Steven Barker of Langholm Old winning 21–10.

A great effort from Ali today after a few wins earlier on, and plenty to be proud of.

Steven now goes through to the final, where he’ll face the winner of Joe Condy (Chirnside) and David Crisp (Tweedmouth). 🔵🏆

Another brilliant win for Ali White, taking his second-round game 21–6 against Gordon Goodfellow of Duns Park.

A cracking performance from Ali to book his place in the next round of the Border Champion of Champions.

Ali is just about to take to the green again for his second-round match, this time against Gordon Goodfellow from Duns Park.

🔵 BORDER CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

Ali is through after a 21–16 win over Scott Hunter of Stow.

He got off to a flyer and raced into a 12–1 lead, before Scott fought back brilliantly to get it all the way back to 15–16.

Ali then steadied things and played some cracking bowls to see the game out and book his place in the next round.

A great day at the club for today’s Open Pairs, with Ali White and John Taylor coming out on top after a strong day of bowls.

Well done to David Lightbody and Kian Morrison on finishing runners-up, and also to our beaten semi-finalists Harry Lightbody & Michael Gilchrist, along with the Lauder pair skipped by Connor Malcolm.
