The boys played their first pre season friendly this afternoon away in Airdrie.

After a difficult first half, the boys came out flying and completely dominated the second half, lots of good football on show and plenty of chances on goal.

A terrific through ball from Josh found its way into Finlay who went 1-1 with the keeper and drilled his shot into the corner of the net.

We got a second shortly after with Mohammad scoring a great free kick from the edge of the box.

Good minutes in the legs ahead of our upcoming ERSDA league season.

The 14’s are back in action next weekend in our first pre season friendly as we make the trip to Airdrie to play Greengairs YFC.

It’ll be a good test for the boys ahead of the upcoming Glasgow Cup, they’ve worked very hard in pre season and are looking forward to getting back out on the pitch.

Burgh will be participating in next month’s Glasgow City Cup.

The draw took place this week and it placed us in Group A alongside Valspar, Third Lanark and Pollok United.

It’s a tough group but one we’re looking forward to. The tournament will provide a good test for the boys as we continue our preparations ahead of our first league match on the 15th August.
