British Bowls U25 Men’s Silver Medallists! 🥈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Congratulations to our Scotland Men, who have secured silver at the 2026 British Bowls U25 International Series.

The title race went right down to the final bowl, with Scotland finishing just two points behind England after an incredibly close weekend of competition.

A fantastic effort from the full squad and support team. Well done, everyone! 👏

Sorry for the slight delay in sharing this, but we were proud to host the finals of the Deveron Triples this year—a truly prominent fixture on our bowling calendar!

​On behalf of the Club, a massive thank you to the Deveron Committee for all the hard work put into the tournament every year, especially our rep George Forsyth. Without your dedication, competitors wouldn't get to enjoy the fantastic weekend of bowling that they do.

​At a club level, the Committee would like to thank all the members who pitched in over what was a manically busy weekend. A special shoutout goes to our Kitchen and Bar gang, and—it almost goes without saying—our incredible Green Team.

​We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, whose continued generosity and support cannot be put into words:

​It was brilliant seeing friendships, both old and new, being formed out on the green.

​Lastly, but by no means least, a huge well done to our winners after a mammoth weekend of competition! The Cup was won by the St Aethans boys—Kevin, Gordon, and Craig McDonald—while the Plate was won by our very own Neil Dalgarno, Charlie Wright, and Alan Paterson.

🏆 Back-to-Back Champions! 🏆

​For the 2nd year in a row, the Keith Gents—not wanting to be outdone by the ladies—have successfully retained the Gossage Cup in their annual competitive friendly against Huntly!

​Our lads put on a fantastic display, coming out convincingly on top in both the away and home legs.

​Note: There are a few faces missing from this photo who played in the away leg but couldn’t make the home game: Les Paterson, Lee Trotter, Jimmy Duncan, Matthew Stepney, Garry Watt, and Wullie Riddoch.

Atlantic International Challenge Winners

The weather held out this weekend for our Jim Coull Fab 4 sponsored by Ardmore Distillery! 🥃 This was the first year for this special trophy, donated by Jim's family in loving memory of our past president, friend, and cherished member of our bowling family.

​There were plenty of laughs across the green over both days, and so many memories made and shared. A special highlight was seeing two of Jim’s grandkids, Ollie and Beth, drafted into teams to make up numbers—with Ollie’s team even making it into the final eight! His biological family and bowling family definitely did Jim proud. 💚

​A massive thank you to all our members who helped out in any way over the weekend. Without you all, our club wouldn't be the place it is. Thank you also to Ardmore Distillery for their continued support of our competition, as well as our green team and the catering/beverage crew.

​🏆 Huge congratulations to Alanna, Lesley, Paul Coutts, and Anthony Hume for winning the competition and being the very first names etched onto the trophy!

What an incredible team effort tonight to win the Duthie Shield Final against Aberchirder at Portknockie! 🏆

​Massive thanks to Portknockie Bowling Club for their wonderful hospitality and to Jim Henderson for keeping the competition running smoothly.
