Monday night saw us return to kihon with each class focusing on different parts of the syllabus 👌

First class, we covered basic punches and age uke before looking at how we can apply age uke in different ways 👍

Second class, we looked at kicking combinations for all 🟤 and ⚫️ in preparation for Octobers Dan grading 💥

Starting somewhere new can be intimidating.

“Will I be the only beginner?”
“What if I get it wrong?”
“Will everyone else be better than me?”

Here's the thing...
Every single person in our dojo was a beginner once. 🥋
Nobody expects you to know what you're doing on your first night.

At CFTS, you'll find students of different ages, grades and experience levels training alongside and supporting one another.
No egos.
No expectation that you'll get everything right.
Just turn up, give it a go and take that first step.

💛 You might be surprised how quickly the dojo starts to feel like somewhere you belong.

“I wish they believed in themselves a little more.”

It’s something many parents can relate to.
Maybe they’re nervous about trying new things. Maybe they’re reluctant to put their hand up in class. Or perhaps they give up when something feels difficult.

🥋 Karate gives children opportunities to succeed, improve and recognise their own progress.

Little by little:
⭐ A technique gets better.
⭐ A kata is remembered.
⭐ A new belt is earned.
⭐ Something that was difficult becomes achievable.

Confidence doesn’t appear overnight. It grows through achievement.

At CFTS, we want every student to leave the dojo standing a little taller than when they walked in.

Every Black Belt Started Here

🥋 Every black belt was once a beginner.
Nobody walks into their first karate class knowing everything.

Everyone starts with their very first punch...
Their very first kata...
Their very first bow.
The hardest step is simply walking through the door.

How much time does your family actually spend doing something together?

At CFTS, students aren't separated simply because of their age, which means parents and children can share the same journey.
