Out with Tom on the bigger and remote crags of the Lakes - Steeple and Steeple East face - a great scramble/climb that pops you out right on the summit. Apart from the 4 hours of driving there and back it’s a long walk in and a big day and as predicted not a soul there.

3 days with this chap on one of our Scrambling/Climbing intro courses - A bespoke course as Tom wanted to do some rock as well as scrambling. Started in Langdale and looked at different ways of making safe and decision making when out in the mountains - Great day and lots showed/learnt.

As much as ‘The Pike’ isn’t my favourite mountain in the Lakes, due to the amount of folk that’s on the mountain, it’s a great training tool and when you get nice folk like Frank and Tom to take up - plus some atmosphere with wind and rain it brings the mountain to life again! A respectable time up and down and Franks first steps on his mountaineering ladder/nice to be part of. Hope to see them again for another adventure!

It’s not often that we get asked to look at river crossings…especially when there’s low/limited water in the becks and rivers! 😳 But for returning client Elettra who is off to Greenland next week for an 8 day trek. She wanted to tick this box to feel a bit more confident on their trip. We looked at crossing as an individual and the then as part of a larger group. We then hit the fell and looked at some navigation and wild camping knowledge. Great couple of days and good luck in Greenland!

Great fun with the family from New York. Showed them the fabulous Langdale valley as they wanted some rock climbing for the kids, who took to it straight away. Don’t think I’ve had anybody who wanted to do a route more than 5 times 😀 played some games and even got one of them up Cubs crack via a bit of aid! 😳😂 Great fun and we could have carried on all day.
