Welcome to the Kong Adventure climbing wall and adventure centre in the centre of Keswick. Children’s Play Area:

The hard play area is a great place for children to burn off that excess energy. With lots of fun things for them to explore in the caves of the dragon’s lair and the tunnels and turrets of the King Kong castle. The hard play is suitable for children aged 3 to 10. For the little ones under 3, we have our soft play area. Outdoor Activities:

We offer a wide range of courses at King Kong Climbing Centre. You can choose from:
Ghyll Scrambling – Jump, slide, and dive your way down a mountain stream. Rock Climbing – Courses range from Intro to rock to Lakeland Classics. Mountain Days – Tailor-made mountain days to suit your needs. We provide you with all the equipment you will need for your chosen activity, and all of our instructors have the appropriate qualifications that will ensure you have a very safe and highly enjoyable experience whatever you choose to do with us. Also available:

Indoor climbing, Krazy Kong, indoor caving, bouldering, and an escape room.

🎬 BRITROCK FILM TOUR 2026 | KONG

The BritRock Film Tour is coming to Kong Climbing Centre on Saturday 7th November for an evening of adventure films (and why not also a cheeky climb beforehand 😉) from some of the best filmmakers and athletes in the scene. 🔥

The 2026 tour features four films taking you from the caves of the UK to the mountains of Patagonia, with plenty of big climbs & big stories.

Alongside the films, we’ll have the bar open from 6.30–10pm, with pizzas and snacks available throughout the evening. 🍻

Perfect for climbers who’ve got the basics dialled indoors and want to progress into lead climbing in a safe, supportive environment.

Over 4 sessions, we’ll cover:
• Lead belaying
• Clipping technique
• Fall management
• Route planning
• Building confidence on the wall

Small group sizes. Plenty of coaching. Plenty of “wait… that’s actually not as scary as I thought.”😉
