We got the month off to the perfect start on Sunday with a 3-0 FA Cup win at Melbourne Dynamo ✅🏆

Hannah ran the midfield, danced through the Melbourne defence and was at the heart of so much of our attacking play. A brilliant creative performance to earn this week’s Player of the Match. 💙

We truly appreciate everyone who has walked through our gates, supported our teams, enjoyed the clubhouse and helped make the summer such a success.

Because of your continued support, the committee has made the decision to keep the clubhouse open throughout the winter months! 🎉

However, this can only happen with your continued support. So please keep coming through the doors, bring your friends and family, and help us keep our clubhouse at the heart of our community.

We’re hoping to show live football matches and more throughout the winter, giving everyone another reason to come along, enjoy a drink, watch the game and support the club. 📺

🏆 THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND!

A dominant team performance sees us progress in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup! 💙

Thrapston controlled much of the first half and deservedly took the lead midway through it, as a corner fell to Lauren Hewitt on the edge of the box and she curled a brilliant finish into the top corner. Hannah Hipwell doubled the advantage shortly after, dancing through the defence before calmly slotting past the keeper.

Melbourne responded either side of half-time, but some excellent last-ditch defending from Claire Coleman and Emma Stevenson, alongside assured goalkeeping from Debbie Biggins, kept them out and secured another clean sheet.

We continued to create chances, with Sophie James, G Fitzgibbon and Kitty Ford all denied by some great saves from the Melbourne keeper.

With the game becoming more stretched late on, Millie Boddington finished off a counter attack from the edge of the box to make it 3-0 and seal our place in the next round. ⚽️

A really strong all-round performance, with some excellent football played.

Thanks to Melbourne for their hospitality and all the best for the season - a fantastic pitch and facilities too. 👏
