🚨TRUST STATEMENT🚨

As Supporters will know, a lot has been happening at and around our Football Club recently and, rightly, some of you may be wondering where the Supporters Trust are with regards to all of this.

As you may or may not know, we met with Brad Piercewright, and members of his consortium prior to the public meeting last week, to ask questions of him and of his plans, as well as to raise concerns surrounding the methods he had chosen to express his interest. It was a frank and open meeting, which left us with a lot to think about. We reiterate our thanks to Brad and his team for allowing us the opportunity to sit down and talk with them.

We have also extended an invitation to the owner of Kettering Town Football Club, George, to sit down with us so we can talk through the concerns that you, our members, have regarding points raised at the consortium’s meeting, as well as the plans George has for the future of our club. We are in the process of sorting the logistics of this meeting, given George’s busy schedule and the difficulty arranging a time and date that suits the Trust’s officers, all of whom have full-time jobs. When a date has been agreed, we will let you know and, potentially, there will be a chance for you to send questions to us to put to the ownership. Of course, you can contact your Supporters Trust at any time with questions or concerns, and we continue to work on behalf of the Football Club, our members and the wider fanbase.

Over the years, the Trust have raised thousands of pounds for improvements to the Football Club, be it for terracing, facility upgrades or anything the club needs our help with. We have also been there in times of crisis, to offer our help to steady a sometimes unsteady ship. We remain committed to a positive, working relationship with the club, whoever is in charge of it, and we believe that the best way for us to represent our members is to keep that relationship constructive. This does not mean however that we don’t ask, sometimes, difficult questions if appropriate to do so.

We accept that, maybe, we don’t always communicate as frequently as people would like - a criticism that has also been raised at the Football Club, however, discussions happen daily with our Trust board, and it is our intention to be more communicative with you, our members, to keep you in the loop.

Our Football Club and our members remain our top priorities, and we hope that we can continue our positive relationship with the club, to ensure forward progress and a successful future.
