A few shots from yesterday
Boxing day squirt at Geddington Ford

On boxing day this tradition is fought every year at the Geddington Ford (Fjord).
This is between the fire men from Geddington Volunteer Fire Brigade and part time fire fighters (retained) from Kettering Fire Station. Lining their fire engines up at either side of the ford the firemen squirt their hoses at an empty beer barrel suspended on a steel wire over the ford. There are caroles at the Queen Eleanor Cross, a Parade & inspection from the Mayor before the best of 5 squirts

Results!!!
Controversy as usual but the official report is...
An early lead taken by Kettering Fire Station and Burton Latimer Fire Station with the first three sq**rts easily won by them. A late surge by GVFB saw a 3-2 score line in favour of Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and some very wet and soggy fire fighters.
A big thank you to all those involved in making the day possible and those of you who came along and supported, and donated. See you next year !!!
