What a Great weekend for the Kettering Town Harriers Middle Distance Squad at the Northants AA County Championships! The squad brought home a superb 16 medals, including 7 golds, 7 silvers, and 2 bronzes, with standout performances right across the age groups.

Performance of the weekend goes to Josh Cannell, who completed the classic middle distance double β€” winning both the Senior Men’s 800m and 1500m in style.

Brilliant golds also came from:
β€’ Marianna Owen – dominant gun to tape win in the U16 Girls 800m (PB)
β€’ Iona Ellwood – superbly timed surge to win the U18 Girls 800m (PB)
β€’ Ben Scott – U16 Boys 1500m champion after 800m bronze
β€’ Eion Fitzpatrick – U12 Quadrathon champion with a majestic 600m victory
β€’ Peyton Almond – U18 1500m champion, with a fine race
Double Silver medallist:
β€’ Millie Sharp – fine Silver in the 800m and the longer 300m sprint

Huge credit to every athlete who competed β€” full report live soon on the website, with other squad reports to follow.

Particular credit to the following squad standout performances.
Josh Cannell Senior Men – Double County Champion (800m & 1500m) Josh delivered one of the most complete championship performances in his KTH career, following up on a superb road & XC season. A perfectly judged 800m PB on Day 1 set the tone, before he returned on Day 2 to dominate the 1500m, controlling the race from the bell, with a decisive kick from 200m Calm, clinical, and confident β€” a model middle distance double.

Marianna Owen U16 Girls 800m – County Champion (PB) Marianna produced a masterclass in front running, taking the race out positively and never relinquishing control. Her final lap strength sealed a superb PB and a fully deserved county title. A performance full of authority and maturity.

Eion Fitzpatrick U12 Boys Quadrathon Champion Eion showed remarkable versatility to win the Quadrathon, excelling despite limited experience in the howler throw and long jump. But it was the 600m where he truly shone β€” a majestic, dominant run that blew the field apart. A hugely exciting young talent.

Ben Scott U16 Boys – Gold (1500m) & Bronze (800m) A superb weekend for Ben, who backed up a gritty bronze in the 800m with a superbly controlled victory in the 1500m. His confidence and race maturity with two new PB’s β€” a double medal performance that signals big progress.

Well done to everyone who competed...
