Halesowen Town Football Club - Over 35s

A few technical issues meant we weren't able to post the squad lineup for last night's cup game for the vets lads.

It has been a few weeks since the last game but we had continued to train and the lads have stayed on track. A few injuries meant still no Karl Willetts and no Richard Thomas-Robinson or Chris Hunter this week either.

This week it was Halesowen Vets V Leasowes in the cup. Leasowes go into this game after remaining unbeaten.

As they say it was a game of two halves, with the first half being a poor performance from Halesowen. Half time ended the lads came off 4 down.....

After a talk from the gaffer the lads went back out and immediately stepped up. Two changes at half time bought Lou Roberts and Paul Williams on and after a short stint with the physio, Luke Bunting returned to the field after a minor knock....what a return to the field, after the yeltz lads pulled one back our own Geordie lad hammered one in from the half way line...and they say only Jason Cowley can score wonder goals!!!!!

A couple of further substitutions saw Jamie Rose and Stewart Steventon came on and the game ended 7 v 4 to Leasowes. Well done lads....

Back to training through the summer and keep an eye out for details about the vets lads holding some open trials for anyone who may be interested in playing
