Last night was absolutely incredible.

The support for our England Fan Zone exceeded all expectations, with far more people joining us than we could ever have imagined. From the moment the fan zone opened, there was a real buzz around the club, and by kick-off the atmosphere was something special.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, as well as MJN Entertainment, our volunteers, staff and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the event possible.

The response has been incredible, and we’ve already identified a number of ways to enhance the experience even further for the next event.

After months of blood, sweat and tears, we’re delighted to announce that our brand-new FanZone will officially open on Wednesday, 17th June 2026, just in time for live World Cup England action!

This project has only been possible thanks to a huge collective effort from the club, our volunteers, local businesses and our valued sponsors. The club has made a significant investment in creating a facility that will serve supporters for years to come, and we’re incredibly proud of what has been achieved together.

We cannot thank our amazing volunteers enough for the part they have played in bringing this vision to life. From working weekends in all weather conditions to digging, block paving, painting and cleaning, their commitment and dedication have been nothing short of extraordinary. The way everyone has pulled together throughout the project is a testament to the spirit of our club and the passion of our supporters.

We’re also extremely grateful to the local businesses and sponsors whose generosity and support have helped turn this vision into a reality.

A special thank you must go to Jason Sharpe for expertly project managing the development and carrying out the block paving across the entire site, and to Bill Welland for coordinating our fantastic team of volunteers. Every volunteer who contributed to the project is proudly recognised on the commemorative poppy as a lasting reminder of their efforts.

The FanZone is far more than just a space to watch football. It’s an investment in the future of the club and a place where supporters, families and the wider community can come together and create lasting memories throughout the year.

This FanZone belongs to all of you, and we will always be grateful for the support, hard work and commitment that made it possible. A Poppies plaque will be made as per our photo to celebrate our wonderful volunteers and fans.

Now it’s time to enjoy it.

Want to get here even earlier? We’ll have the Portugal game on from 6pm, giving you the perfect excuse to get settled in. There won’t be any pre-match entertainment during that game and it will be shown without sound in the background, but it’s a great way to start your football-filled evening before all eyes turn to England later on.

Arrive early, get involved, and help us create an unforgettable atmosphere as we cheer England on together.
