Across the summer, Bath Romans adult players went on TOUR - this year to visit our friends Cardiff Met Archers WBC 🏀

A total of 21 players had such a fantastic time full of silliness, matches and time to hang out and socialise with mates 🤝

It is so incredible what this club has become and the positive, welcoming culture it has created 🥰

Shout out to Tour Captains Courtney, DT and Robin for organising the fun and antics - including our tour mascots 🦆 and inflatable Roman weapons 🗡

An evening full of food, awards, duck-pin bowling and cricket (when we could actually hit the ball) topped off a memorable weekend for us all 🏏🤣

Thanks for hosting us Cardiff- you guys have been great! Let's see what next year brings! 🙏

Ryan and Harry, you boys are amazing 👏

We hope you had the best weekend with England South up in Nottingham. Congratulations on your 3rd place bronze medal 🥉

And for Harry to shoot the winning basket with 3 seconds to go IN OVERTIME to clinch that medal makes it even more incredible.

We are just SO PROUD that two of our Junior players - Ryan and Harry - have been selected to play for England South U14s this weekend in Nottingham 🇬🇧🏀

This is a huge achievement for them and indeed for the club! 🙌

So many of us were cheering them on today as they played their first day of matches, which can all be watched on British Wheelchair Basketball's YouTube channel 📺🏀

On top of this, our Junior captain for last season- Ana- was chosen for England South U18s but unfortunately had to pull out because of a hand injury. Fingers crossed (pun intended) for next year though!🤞

Yesterday it was our Youth Team’s turn to hit the road for their Summer Tour adventure to Cardiff! 🏀🚌🌟

A huge thank you to Coach Tom and the team at Cardiff Met Archers Wheelchair Basketball Club for delivering a fun, engaging and challenging training session for our young players 💪🔥

After working up an appetite, we enjoyed some well-earned food 🍕🍟, but if we're being honest, the real MVP of the day was the coach journey! 😂🎉 The laughs and team spirit made the trip one to remember.

A special shout-out to Pewsey Vale Coaches for getting us there and back safely while putting up with all the excitement and energy on board! 👏🚌

Congratulations to the team who came out as victors when they travelled down to Southampton for a fun, friendly tournament at the weekend 🏀

Games against hosts Hampshire Harriers Wheelchair Basketball Club and Folkestone Arrows saw a great day to help us get back into the swing of things 🤗

We very much look forward to next year! 💪🏼

🏀 Bath Romans Tour 2026 🏀

This weekend, the team will be travelling to Cardiff for a fun-filled few days of training, matches and team activities 🍕🎳🏏.

The tour will see the squad take part in a series of fixtures on Saturday:

🕧12:30 – Romans 1 v Cardiff Met Archers Wheelchair Basketball Club 🏀
🕝14:30 – Romans 3 v Cardiff Met Archers 🏀
🕟16:30 – Romans 2 v Cardiff Met Archers 🏀

With plenty planned throughout the trip, it’s set to be a great few days of basketball, team bonding and making memories!😄💖

🏀 The season isn’t quite over yet! Both our Juniors and Adults will soon be heading over the bridge to Cardiff for training and friendly tour matches, and we can't wait! 🚐💪

🏀 What a fantastic way to round off our final home Bath Romans Junior Tournament of the season! 🥳

Our young Romans enjoyed a fantastic day of basketball, with great teamwork, effort and togetherness on display in every match. It was brilliant to see everyone supporting each other. 💪🏀

Our Junior team is in action this Sunday for the final tournament of the season at Keynsham Leisure Centre! 🏀

We look forward to welcoming Exeter Otters WBC 🦦 for a very exciting day, with lots of basketball to be played 💪
