A huge congratulations to our Sapphires! They have today played at the Staffordshire Cricket county finals after winning their group. It was a fantastic day playing against Oakamoor and Fordhouses and getting through to the semi final against hosts Eccleshall. These women have gone from strength to strength with this being only their second season together. The club are extremely proud of you ladies and we look forward to what you do next year. Finishing the year 3rd in the County

It’s game day!! We have two Saturdays left of our summer of cricket. Don’t despair we have plenty happening over the winter!! For now our 1st XI entertain Congleton while our 2nd XI travel to Sandon. Then it’s time to celebrate the women of the club at our ladies night. Food, laughter, plenty of fizz. Not to mention a quiz and a raffle.

We have another jam packed weekend this weekend. Tonight our Sapphires are off to Meakins for the annual floodlit festival. Tomorrow we have our ladies night (last few tickets remaining) and Sunday our Sapphires are in the County finals at Eccleshall CC. See you over the weekend

Where do we start about yesterday! Players, sponsors, parents, children, committee and the amazing community coming together to support our community!! There are far too many people to thank however 2 massive big thank you’s to two very special ladies from Woore Cricket Club Woore one of which donated our tombola prizes and another who sorted all the food for us from blakemans. We also had some Woore players come and join in with a cricket match and they collected subs that they donated. Thank you to every single person who donated a raffle prize. To the Stone League for their very generous donation, to the stall holders, every single volunteer and our very own Sapphire Lou Ziemann who put her heart and soul into selling as many raffle tickets as possible!!! We are EXTREMELY pleased to announce our total raised for the poor families who were affected by the recent fires is a MASSIVE £3945!!! This would not have been possible without you all we will ensure this is transferred to the just giving page handled by VAST!! We can’t say thank you enough 💙

Woore Cricket Club Woore have travelled to Sandyford Cricket Club for their fantastic Bank Holiday Fun Day.

There’s loads going on for all ages, with cricket, activities, refreshments and plenty of community spirit. Most importantly, the event is helping to raise funds and support for those who have been affected by the recent fire.

If you're looking for something to do this afternoon, please come along, show your support and enjoy a great day with two brilliant local clubs.
