Today Clough were in cup action facing off against div 6 Football on Trent.
A poor start from Clough gave the opposition hope of an upset with a string of missed opportunities and poor play in general,
fortunately it went unpunished.
Clough got themselves together taking the lead through Luke Alcock who headed the ball home from a great cross into the box by full back Adam Rose.
A second soon followed Joe Donaldsons persistence down the right hand side was rewarded with a goal , his shot being deflected into the net from an opposition defender.
HT 0-2 Clough.
Second half saw Clough start to play and create,
A free kick from Tom White was parried by the keeper to the incoming Luke Alcock who made no mistake with the follow up! 3-0 Clough.
Goal number 4 was added by the head of skipper Dan Johnson from a corner.
Liam keegans finished off the scoring with a great headed finish to cap off a brilliant cameo appearance

Through to the next round , a clean sheet and 5 goals despite not the best of displays from the lads, but we take the win with the positives and move on
Getting the job done is what matters most!
Man of the match Sam Foster top display in the middle today , using his experience to get the lads going when it was needed most , great shift for the team in there too! Well done mate 🙌💙
