Kidsgrove CC 1st XI v Whitmore CC 2nd XI
Our first team hosted Whitmore where they lost the toss and were put into bat. Kidsgrove hit an impressive 206/8 in the 40 overs, it was 50 for Finley Beswick, 37 for Joel Brierley, 34 for Dan Archer and 25 for Muhammad Chaudary. Kidsgrove then went into bowl where they got Whitmore 98 all out after some impressive bowling. It was 4 wickets for Callum Mcilveen, 3 for Lewis Green, 2 for Matthew Turnock and 1 for Joel Brierly.
With this win Kidsgrove confirmed their promotion as champions!!

Kidsgrove CC 2nd XI v Stafford CC 3rd XI
Kidsgrove made the journey to Stafford where they won the toss and elected to bat, they hit 159 before the last wicket fell. It was 50 for Matthew Bailey, 38 for Vinthan, 18 for Sai Veerannapeta and 16 for Rylee Austin. Kidsgrove then went into bowl where they managed to get the opposition 117 all out. It was an outstanding 7 wickets for Thomas Heeks, with 1 each for, Owen Beswick, Sri Aravinthan and Eshwar Aravinthan.

Kidsgrove CC Sunday 1st XI v Endon CC Sunday 2nd XI
Our Sunday 3rd side hosted Endon where they won the toss and elected to field, they managed to get the opposition 110 all out, it was 5 wickets for Lewis Green, 2 for Sai Veerannapeta and 2 for Eshwar Aravinthan. Kidsgrove then went into bat where they managed to knock off the target in 19.5 overs for only 1 wicket. It was 87* for Eddie Homer which sealed the victory.

Happy Friday everyone! We’ve made it through another week, so why not start the weekend properly?

🏆 CHAMPIONS! 🎉🎉🎉

Our 1st XI have done it!

Following today’s result, the lads have secured promotion and, with one game still to play, are confirmed as DIVISION CHAMPIONS!

A fantastic achievement and just reward for the hard work, commitment and performances the team have put in throughout the season.

One more game to go, but the title is ours.

Massive congratulations to everyone involved with the 1st XI. Players, captain and all those who have supported the team along the way.

Weekend review 🏏🏏

Kidsgrove CC 1st XI v Little Stoke CC 2nd XI
Our first team traveled to Little Stoke on Saturday where they lost the toss and were put into bat. They managed to hit 100 before the last wicket fell after 34.2 overs. It was 39 for Lewis Green and 24 for Muhammad Chaudary. Kidsgrove then went into bowl where the opposition managed to knock off the target for 5 in 17.5 overs. It was 3 wickets for Lewis Green and 2 for Eddie Homer.

Kidsgrove CC 2nd XI v Oakamoor CC 3rd XI
The second team hosted Oakamoor where they lost the toss and were put into bowl. Kidsgrove managed to get the opposition 159 all out from 39 overs. It was an outstanding 6 wickets for Sai Veerannapeta, with 3 for Owen Beswick and 1 for Dan Archer. Kidsgrove then went into bat where they fell agonisingly short, hitting 148 before the last wicket fell. It was 43 for Sai Veerannapeta, 32 for Dan Archer and 24 for Eshwar Aravinthan.

Our Sunday side hosted Woodlane for what proved to be one of the games of the season. Kidsgrove won the toss and elected to bat which saw them hit 139. It was 30 for Eshwar Aravinthan, 19 for Dharmaraj Ramanathan and 18 for T Singh. Kidsgrove then went into bowl where they managed to get the opposition 134 all out from 30.5 overs. It was an unbelievable 7 wicket haul for Lewis Green, 1 for Owen Beswick, 1 for Matthew Bailey and 1 for Sri Aravinthan.

The teams are in!!!!!

The 1st XI are at home this week as they welcome Whitmore CC to the Grove. The lads will be looking to put in a big performance on home soil and get another result on the board.

The 2nd XI are on the road as they travel to Stafford. Get yourself over if you can and help cheer the lads on.

Both games start at 12.30pm and, as always, your support is more than welcome.

The bar will be open from 12.30pm, so come up, grab a drink and get behind the lads 🙌🏻🍻

🏡 The 2nd team are at home this week and host 3rd place Oakamoor. They hope to change their luck this week with a big win!

🚗 The 1st team travel to Little Stoke where they hope to keep their fantastic run going. The lads will be hoping to be confirmed as league champions this week!

Unfortunately due to the weather both Saturday games were called off with no play at all. All teams involved received 3 points each.

Kidsgrove CC Sunday 1st XI v Silverdale CC Sunday 1st XI
Our Sunday team did manage to get some play which saw Kidsgrove win the toss and elect to field. The opposition ended the innings 161/8 from the 40 overs, it was 4 wickets for Lewis Green, 2 for Pravinth Prabakaran, with 1 each for Dan Archer, Sri Aravinthan and Tejinder Singh. Kidsgrove then went out to bat where they ended up 52/4 from 18 overs before rain called an end to the day. It was 27 for Dave Rigby and 19 for Dharmmaraj Ramanathan. At the end of play it was a draw for the Sunday side receiving 8 points.

Kidsgrove CC 1st XI v Bignall End CC 2nd XI
Our first team made the journey to Bignall End where they lost the toss and were put into bowl where they did not disappoint, they managed to take all 10 wickets in 20.3 overs for only 68 runs. There was two 4 wicket hauls for Muhammad Chaudary and Callum Mcilveen, the other 2 came from Lewis Green. Kidsgrove then went into bat where it didn't take them long, the target was knocked off in 7.2 overs without loss, it was 37* for Finley Beswick and 28* for Ryan Davis.

Kidsgrove hosted Wedgwood where they lost the toss and were put into bat. Kidsgrove managed to hit 133 before the last wicket fell. It was 26 for Owen Beswick, 20 for Sai Veerannapeta, 19 for Jack Wilkinson and 18 for Eshwar Aravinthan. Kidsgrove then went into bowl and managed to take 6 wickets before the opposition knocked off the target. It was 2 wickets for Owen Beswick, 2 for Sai Veerannapeta, 1 each for Tom Heeks and Pravinth Prabakaran.

The teams are in!!!!

🏡 The 1st team are at home this week and host Woore. The boys will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table and take another step towards promotion as champions of the league

🚗 The 2nd team travel to Fenton park to play against a tough opposition in Meakins who are currently 4th in the league. After bitter disappointment last time out, the boys look to cause an upset and get a win on the board to help their chances of survival against the drop

⏰ Both games start at 1pm and as always, your support is more than welcome
